Learning Platform Program Manager (Global)
Mission
The Global Learning Platform Program Manager will be responsible for handling the intake of new initiatives, stakeholder management, and project management associated with integrations between Learning Platforms including but not limited to the learning management system (LMS), lab platforms, and productivity tools. The Learning Platform Program Manager will build relationships with stakeholders within Learning & Enablement (L&E) to deliver automation for manual processes and enable the development of the most efficient and effective systems to create a great curriculum for our customers. This role will collaborate with cross functional stakeholders and external platform vendors, define business requirements, project manage ongoing automation projects, and continuously seek to understand L&E business processes that can be automated/improved.
Outcomes
- Build relationships with the organization and adjacent business units to solve larger problems as a team.
- Build and coordinate all aspects of automation initiatives, including: detailed project plans, resource allocations, risks/issues remediation, status reporting, and serve as the primary “go-to” person for project details.
- Maintain a deep, technical end-to-end understanding of the solution being built, its upstream/downstream dependencies and impacts, and the resulting customer journey experienced by our users, owning the overall documentation of solutions.
- Lead multiple concurrent projects and programs varying in size/scope/complexity, spanning across several different teams within L&E. Identify and mitigate risks to execution by clarifying scope, removing blockers, and ensuring efficient communication between appropriate stakeholders.
- Proactively identify risks in all assigned areas; work with teams and management to mitigate these risks before they become issues.
- Understand, surface, and articulate technical challenges.
Competencies
- Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Information Systems or related technical experience
- 5+ years of industry experience
- Ability to communicate across all teams within the organization to provide solutions.
- Self-starter with extensive program management experience with large-scale initiatives.
- Experience using Agile/Scrum methodologies in an always-on, services-based infrastructure/architecture.
- Experience with applications such as Jira or other backlog tools.
- Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet or other requirements/task management tools.
- One of the following certifications:
- - PMP Certification
- - Certified ScrumMaster Certification
- Nice to have:
- Understanding of learning management systems (LMS)
- Understanding of curriculum development lifecycle
- Understanding/experience in enablement/education programs
