The Chewy Campus Recruiting Team is seeking a motivated Procurement Program Management Intern to join our Procurement team based in Plantation, Florida.
Internship Timeframe: June 3rd – August 9th, 2024 (must be available for the full duration)

Our Opportunity:
The Procurement Program Management intern will provide functional support for the implementation of Chewy’s Procurement Center of Excellence (COE). The intern will support the development of procurement policies, processes, technical tools, and training programs to drive process standardization and organizational improvement. The intern will also support the development of the short, mid, and long-term project plan for the COE.
What You'll Do:
- Work collaboratively to define and document business requirements, support implementation of various strategies, processes, and technical tools.
- Develop and execute onboarding and training protocols to enhance stakeholder user experience and engagement with Procurement.
- Support definition and implementation of Procurement strategy for processes, procedures, and capability excellence in the procurement function.
- Utilize project planning tools to document the Center of Excellence roadmap.
- Quickly familiarize oneself with the existing procurement processes and tools within the organization.
- Take ownership of assigned projects and initiatives, demonstrating a proactive and self-directed approach to problem-solving.
- Engage in project management activities, ensuring timely execution and delivery of procurement objectives.
- Collaborate effectively with various stakeholders across different departments, including senior management, to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Demonstrate flexibility in supporting procurement activities across different projects.
What You'll Need:
- Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field and with anticipated graduation date between December 2024 and June 2025.
- Strong interest in procurement, supply chain management, or related fields.
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills (Excel, SQL, Jira, etc.)
- Excellent analytical and research skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Current permanent U.S. work authorization required.
Bonus:
- Previous experience/interest in eCommerce, procurement or purchasing, supply chain management, account management, product management, category management, consulting, analytics, finance, or marketing.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects - prioritization, planning and task delegation.
- Track record of taking ownership and driving results (projects, internships, or work experience).
