SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...Pure Storage is scaling rapidly, and test infrastructure is the heartbeat of that growth. As Program Manager of the Test PMO, you will own the full project portfolio—hardware, software, and automation—while coaching a global team of project managers. Your mission: drive on-time milestone delivery, unlock multimillion-dollar cost savings, and ensure every initiative ties directly to yield, quality, and CapEx goals.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING...

Stand-up & run the PMO: Establish governance, charters, RACI, and toolchain; baseline all test-infrastructure projects within 90 days.

Portfolio ownership: Translate Operations test strategy into an executable roadmap; maintain a single source of truth for scope, schedule, cost, and quality.

Cross-functional leadership: Orchestrate Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Contract Manufacturers to hit shared deliverables on time.

Process excellence: Identify waste, automate workflows, embed failure-injection best practices, and streamline documentation/change control.

Financial stewardship: Lead ROI/NPV analyses, track project opex/capex, and surface trade-off decisions with data.

Risk & issue management: Proactively flag blockers, own mitigation plans, and escalate early—no surprises.

Talent development: Mentor and certify project managers; align contractor skillsets with project demand and manage SOWs/budgets.

Executive communication: Publish dashboards and deliver monthly briefings on progress, savings, and next-step decisions.

PMP certified; Scrum Master/Agile PM experience preferred.

Proven track record of owning and steering a technical project portfolio and roadmaps, and influencing data-driven decisions with engineering, supply-chain, and executive stakeholders.

8+ years leading complex manufacturing or NPI programs with measurable results in cost, schedule, and quality.

Deep understanding of global supply chain and manufacturing test engineering.

Demonstrated success launching PMOs or managing large project portfolios (>$25M).

Expertise with Jira, Smartsheet, or equivalent PPM tools and financial modeling (ROI, NPV, TCO).

History of building high-performing teams and coaching junior PMs.

Bachelor’s in Engineering, Business, or related quantitative field (MBA a plus).
- We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
