About the Team

Legal Operations is a function within Legal which helps Legal to operate more efficiently and in line with business priorities, with the goal of balancing simplicity with productivity and profitability, while striving for operational excellence. 

We are looking for a Project Manager, Legal Operations to support the Legal Operations function. This is a cross-functional role and you will be an important member of the legal team, working with all of the departments on the legal team and with non-legal functions throughout the company. You will also work with the various tools used by the legal department including the knowledge management site, the contract lifecycle management system, and the sales deal management system.

The impact you will have:

  • Document existing processes and, where appropriate, recommend ways to improve them to drive efficiency, including automation 
  • Help implement new tools for the legal team and maintain existing tools, including Ironclad
  • Help with legal department analytics by pulling key performance indicators for the various practice areas from various tools including Salesforce and Ironclad
  • Contribute to operational excellence by supporting the build out of our business intelligence and visualization
  • Provide general legal operations support, including project management, process management, troubleshooting, administrative tasks and supporting other drivers of operational effectiveness for the legal operations team and the legal department
  • Project manage and prioritize deliverables based on legal department goals
  • Cultivate strong relationships with important partners and stakeholders
  • Complete special projects on various subjects as assigned by members of legal leadership
  • Provide general support on a flexible, as-needed basis concerning other areas of the business
  • Contribute to help maximize the value of the legal department as an effective, respected, and valued resource within the company

What we look for:

  • B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent; paralegal and/or program management certification is a plus
  • 5+ years relevant business operations, strategic operations, legal operations, and/or legal experience engaged in a project management and process oriented function, is highly desirable
  • Analytics and data visualization tool experience including Databricks, SQL, Tableau, Dashboard creation highly desirable
  • Experience with OKR program or project management is a plus
  • Experience in a legal setting (law firm or in-house) is a plus
  • Analytical and problem-solving experience
  • General database or data management experience
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of the tools used by in-house commercial legal team to facilitate the contracting process for revenue, including tools used for contract generation and routing (e.g., Salesforce, CPQ and Ironclad), and signatures (e.g., DocuSign)
  • Proficient in Google Suite applications including Gmail, Google Drive, Sheets, Slides, and demonstrated ability to learn and master various SaaS applications
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time, internal client expectations, adapt to changing priorities and work on ambiguous tasks/projects 
  • Customer-service oriented and have great attention to detail while meeting tight deadlines
  • Creative, proactive and must have a willingness to take action and achieve results
  • Willingness to accept constructive feedback  
  • Must have a lean-in and help out mindset
  • High level of professionalism, integrity and discretion in handling confidential information 
  • Ability to work well with people at all levels inside and outside of our organization

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above. Zone 2 Pay Range$70,800—$125,500 USD
