ROLE MISSION

Working in partnership with two clients, the Project Manager will lead projects from concept to completion, exercising the requisite direction and control. We foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and provide key updates on the status of project deliverables, inclusive of budget and resources. Given the scale and complexity of the client in the realm of CRM, we require an understanding of direct mail, email and SMS principles and adherence to seasonal deadlines (aligning with larger, TTL projects where required). Our team of one, under the guidance of an Account Director, bolsters the Client Service department and facilitates our creative team in delivering top-notch work within deadlines and budget. OLIVER is currently seeking a Project Manager to lead, oversee, and successfully manage several projects while navigating scope, quality, time, and cost constraints. This role may necessitate dynamic change management to ensure we provide the maximum business value.  

ABOUT THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING

Reports to the  Account Director

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

Covering the management of multiple projects from brief through to delivery, on time and to budget. 

  • Initiate and Plan Projects  

Define and document project scope and objectives, involve all relevant stakeholders, and ensure technical feasibility. Develop comprehensive project plans to monitor and track progress. 

  • Manage Project Resources  

Coordinate with internal teams to ensure resource availability and allocation.   

  • Risk Management  

Identify and assess potential risks and obstacles upfront. Plan and implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans. Continually monitor and manage project risks throughout the project life cycle.  

  • Implement and Manage Project Changes and Interventions  

Use appropriate change management strategies to achieve project outputs. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.  

  • Track Project Performance  

Use appropriate project management tools and techniques to handle changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs. Monitor projects burn throughout the project lifecycle and adjust and pivot to reduce overburn.   

Provide progress reports and status updates to everyone involved in the project to ensure they are aware of key actions, timelines, deadlines, and changes.   

  • Oversee Quality Control  

Maintain project schedule by coordinating activities, monitoring project progress, and solving problems. Implement approved changes to deliver a successful project.  

  • Evaluate and Assess Results of the Project  

Conduct project reviews and create detailed reports for executive staff. Assessing working methods and processes and making recommendations for improvement.  

  • Stakeholder Management and Collaboration  

Effectively lead, manage, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects within the constraints of schedule, budget, scope, and quality.  

  • OMG Champion  

Ensuring all OMG jobs are set up correctly and updated to reflect status and scope.  

  • Billing and Finance  

Ensure all fee related projects are set up to the correct monthly retainer to support with accurate billing. Ensure all chargeable work projects have up to date status for accurate revenue recognition.   

 WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL 

  • Proven work experience as a Project Manager or similar role, with demonstrated success in project delivery across print, email and creative production.  
  • Preferred but not essential: understanding of the email build and QA process alongside print production formats, specifications and processes.
  • Excellent team-leading and people management skills. 
  • Solid organisational skills, including multitasking and time-management. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Good critical thinking, problem solving, and proactivity skills to manage risk and adapt quickly to changes.  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software and project management software. 
  • Can do attitude with a team and pro-active mentality.  
  • Experience in Retail sectors (desirable)
