About the role: 

Location: Melbourne, VIC or Canberra, ACT

Employment Term: Full Time, Permanent

Reporting To: Head of Project Management Office (PMO)

Seeing Machines is a recognised global technology leader in the development of Driver Monitoring Systems (DMSs), detecting fatigued and distracted drivers to prevent accidents and improve safety for all road users. Our products are installed in thousands of vehicles across the global transport and automotive sectors, and have monitored drivers for millions of miles.

The Project Management Office supports customer facing and internal projects to deliver value to the business.

A Project Officer supports project managers by providing administrative and technical assistance to achieve project goals within budget, on time, and to the required quality standards

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate project activities, including up to date scheduling, resource allocation, and task assignment recording.
  • Monitor and document project progress and support the project manager in documenting potential issues or risks.
  • Provide administrative support to project managers, such as preparing reports, presentations, and meeting minutes.
  • Manage project documentation and ensure accurate record-keeping, including any updates to budgets and required delivery milestones.
  • Communicate project updates and information to project team members and stakeholders.
  • May support the quality department in quality checks or support internal audits on projects.

Education/Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

Professional Experience

  • Experience in project scheduling.
  • Exposure to financial budgeting.
  • Exposure to change management processes within a project environment.
