As Protective Security Lead EMEA/APJ you will embody the positive security culture within the regions for Databricks.  We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Regional Security Manager to oversee and manage security operations across multiple locations within a designated region. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills, capable of managing a team of security professionals and collaborating with various departments to address security concerns. The role will also be responsible for conducting risk assessments, investigating adverse events, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in security management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the safety and security of our organization.

The impact you will have:

  • Leadership: Support and contribute to the development and implementation of regional security services. Collaborate across the enterprise with various departments and internal stakeholders.  Foster mutually beneficial relationships with law enforcement, intelligence, and regulatory agencies. 
  • Intelligence: Develop and maintain intelligence networks related to threats to regional organizational operations. Identify and evaluate threats, risks, and vulnerabilities. Provide intelligence-driven subject matter expertise for the benefit of all regional operations. 
  • Human Capital: Collaborate on security and safety protection protocols for executive protection and events hosted onsite or supported remotely. Foster regional awareness of security and build a security-conscious workplace culture through development and delivery of training initiatives. 
  • Physical Security: Support and conduct site reviews and annual risk assessments designed to optimize protection of all enterprise assets. Conduct internal and external investigations including criminal and background investigations. Implement efficiency in site security programs and processes across multiple locations. 
  • Adverse Event Response: Provide immediate response to adverse events across the region. 
  • Security and Technology: Protect people, property, and facilities through integration of technology programs and processes.

What we look for:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in security management.
  • Proven experience in managing security operations across multiple locations.
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations.
  • Experience with security technology and systems.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal security regulations.
  • Experience in crisis management and emergency response.
  • Experience with International SOS travel risk management and Verkada access control systems.
