The Professional Services Global Customer Delivery Operations department is looking to expand our Services Sales Desk and Order Coordination team with a dual role position.
As a member of the Services Sales Desk, you support sales teams, customers, and resellers to identify and scope the professional services needed to implement a hardware/software solution or to meet other needs. You are responsible for translating those requirements into tasks and the level of effort necessary to perform the services. You also engage specialty services partners to build their services and quotes into a proposal and list pricing. You will work with customers and other teams around the globe. You will need to build the trust of all you support, using a combination of your technical abilities, communications skills, and demonstrated ability to take ownership of the opportunities, seeing them through to the completion of the sale.
As a member of the Order Coordination team, you will be working directly with the end-user’s customer. Support and guidance from other professional departments such as support, sales teams, contracted delivery partners, and resellers. You help bridge the gap from sales through delivery, including identifying scope work, site readiness, technical review, and availability requests. You are responsible for the end-to-end coordination and customer experience. You will need to build the trust of all your support, using a combination of your technical abilities, communications skills, and demonstrated ability to take ownership of the opportunities, seeing them through to the completion of the sale.
The successful candidate will work effectively with the PS Managers, Regional Sales Directors, District Managers, and Account Executives to develop service opportunities and business solutions successfully. There will be ongoing operational and financial analysis, measurement, and continuous program improvements.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING
Provide sales support to the global sales teams (including resellers) and their customers. Areas of responsibility include
- Manage and be one of the main points of contact for the Services Sales Desk
- Respond to scoping requests for new professional services opportunities
- Work with various requesters/stakeholders such as sales teams, resellers, distributors, customers, and field Engagement Management staff to determine the requirements of the service for the opportunity
- By leveraging your knowledge of solutions and services as well as other resources inside and outside, choose the most appropriate services solution, task verbiage, and level of effort to deliver the solution
- Translate into services proposal and services quote (SKUs and list pricing)
- Create word documents and use the pricing tool to create the proposal and preliminary quote
- Work with the sales opportunity owner to provide a formal sales quote that can be used to book the sale in SFDC
- When needed, provide objection-handling and reasons the customer (internal or external) would be well-served to purchase the services
- Provide a handoff of documentation and input to the delivery team once a deal books.

- Customer Scope of Work Creation/Review
- Rate Card Creation/Review
- Determine scope for services and level of effort
- Track each services sales opportunity, utilizing KeyedIn
- Coordinate relevant meetings
- Help develop program assets, collateral, and education
- Provide and or coordinate training, continuous learning, and development of the Services Sales Desk
Provide order coordination to the APJ region. Areas of responsibility include
- Tracking the entire lifecycle of Professional Services bookings
- Collaborating with Support, Operations, Logistics, Sales, and Finance to execute professional services tasks
- Coordinating Service engagements and installations
- Managing the calendars and scheduling of a team of implementation engineers
- Responsible for maintaining our support applications: SalesForce CRM, KeyedIn
- Other projects as deemed appropriate
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Self-starter, critical thinking, problem solver, detail-oriented, and highly organized
- 8+ years of project/program management or SoW/technical writing experience
- Ability to simultaneously work on multiple engagements and priorities
- Excellent time management, analytical, strong verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility supporting various time zones
- Basic accounting and finance knowledge
- Proven experience in developing and automating processes
- Proven experience in managing large-scale programs
- Sales experience a plus
- Professional Services engagement scheduling experience
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members and clients
- A passion for customer satisfaction and outstanding customer experience
- A strong work ethic, professional representation of Pure Storage
- Must be willing and able to work in an open office, team environment
