The Opportunity:
Our team is currently conceptualizing and building the most exciting, usable, and advanced commerce solution in the market. We are looking for an experienced QA and Automation Engineer with a passion for technologies used by big players on an enterprise-level application. Your Mission:
- Build and deploy automated tests from the ground up, including generating and managing test data, load testing, and performance testing at scale in AWS, GCP, and Azure environments
- Collaborate with our Engineers and Product Managers in all development phases (design, implementation, and delivery) to create test plans, write test cases, and develop tests and automation tools that align with the development process
- Think creatively and help the Development team identify risks and other potential problems early in the development process
- Manually test product features to ensure quality product delivery
- Create automated test cases and test automation suites to increase test efficiency
- Write clear and effective defects and work with Developers and Product Management to ensure proper remediation
- Manage tickets using Jira to track issues and communicate with stakeholders
What you need to succeed:
- 2+ years of engineering and testing experience, ideally with large scale applications
- Experience with automation best practices and development tools
- Experience building and/or extending automation frameworks and testing APIs (REST, GraphQL)
- Development experience with Javascript (TypeScript a plus)
- Experience managing a CI/CD build chain and integrating test cases with CI/CD tools like CircleCI or GitHub Actions
- Experience testing UIs, including testing with automation tools such as Playwright
- Knowledge of mongo.db / Compass, Postman, or similar
- A good understanding of Agile methodologies and participation in sprint rituals
- The aspiration to constantly improve yourself and learn new technologies and concepts
- Excitement to embrace working in a fast-paced environment where you have a direct impact on customers’ success
Nice to have:
- Experience in a retail or commerce setting including payment processing and physical devices
- Experience with priority-based testing
- Experience with MACH principles and appreciation of manual or automated testing of solutions composed in MACH environments
