About the role

We are looking for a strong QA Engineering Lead and Manager to own the technical and strategic direction of our QA team. You will immediately lead the team as an engineering manager and will play a significant role in the success of our products. This is a unique opportunity for a top performer who is seeking a non-linear trajectory at a growth startup.

At Applied, you will:

  • Own the release cycle across multiple products
  • Own software quality benchmarks across multiple products
  • Create and maintain processes for efficient software testing practices. Clear metrics and strategy around unit, integration, automated end-to-end and manual testing
  • Write software to perform automated testing locally and in the cloud
  • Work with multiple engineering and infra teams inside the org to understand quality and testing requirements
  • Manage a team of quality engineering professionals to guarantee high quality software delivery
  • Develop strategies to increase testing automation
  • Create and present quality assurance plans to customers

We're looking for someone who has:

  • 5+ years of industry experience, at least 2 years of hands-on QA experience and 2 years of management
  • Background as a Software Test Engineer
  • Bachelor in CS or equivalent technical education
  • Experience with delivering high quality enterprise software products
  • Experience managing software release timelines
  • Strong people management skills
  • Strong organizational skills

The salary range for this position is $65,000 USD to $400,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company's compensation practices.
