What is The Role

We’re always on the search for amazing people. The IT Operations team at Elastic is responsible for delivering technical support and operational services to Elastic employees across the organization. Their core mission is to ensure that all business systems, office infrastructure, and end-user devices are running smoothly and securely, enabling Elasticians to work efficiently from anywhere.The IT Operations Team is committed to delivering reliable, responsive, and secure IT services, supporting both remote and office-based employees, and continuously improving Elastic’s technology environment.

We are looking for an experienced and talented Servicenow QA professional to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and executing test scenarios and test cases that align with our organizational needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop comprehensive test plans, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, defect-free applications. Success in this position requires a deep understanding of ServiceNow applications (e.g. ITSM, SPM, HRSD)  testing best practices and the ability to translate business requirements into thorough and effective test scenarios.

What You Will Be Doing
  • You will work closely with our 6 ServiceNow Developers and 1 Business Analyst to ensure high-quality delivery across our ServiceNow applications.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to design, execute, and maintain functional test cases to validate configurations, workflows, and integrations within ServiceNow.
  • Collaborate with Business Analyst and Developers to understand requirements, acceptance criteria, and use cases.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases for ServiceNow applications and features.
  • Perform functional, regression and integration across ITSM, HRSD, SPM, Knowledge, InfoSec and Service Portal applications.
  • Contribute to test planning and test strategy documentation.
  • Strong experience testing ServiceNow applications (e.g. ITSM, SPM, HRSD).
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow functionality: incident, request, catalog, knowledge, HR case, and/or portal testing.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Prior experience in a ServiceNow implementation or support team.
What You Bring
  • Over 5 years of proven experience as a QA professional specializing in ServiceNow, with a strong track record of designing and executing test plans and test cases.
  • Highly skilled in identifying, tracking, and debugging defects in collaboration with developers, while maintaining thorough QA documentation and test matrices.
  • Extensive hands-on experience testing ServiceNow applications such as ITSM, SPM, and HRSD.
  • Proficient in developing and executing manual functional, end-to-end, and regression tests for ServiceNow features and applications.
  • Experienced in building automated tests using Selenium or similar automation tools.
  • Adept at analyzing requirements, preparing documentation and use cases, and refining test scenarios to ensure comprehensive coverage of functionality.
  • Effective at listening to and interpreting user requirements, translating them into actionable test scenarios.
  • Maintains clear documentation of test results and execution status for communication with IT customers, project managers, business analysts, developers, and team leads.
  • Consistently adheres to quality testing standards, guidelines, and project timelines.
  • Skilled in using JIRA for automation deliverables, test case management, defect tracking, test reporting, and related QA functions.
  • Comfortable with querying data to support testing activities.
  • Demonstrates deep understanding of QA standards, processes, and methodologies, and their application within an enterprise environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage timelines, adapt to shifting priorities, and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Expertise in the Software Development Lifecycle, with solid knowledge of Agile development practices and sprint-based delivery models.
  • Capable of understanding process interconnections, using process flow inputs and outputs to address issues that impact multiple areas or stories.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
