Playing a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of integrated systems, we’re seeking a Quality Test Automation Engineer specializing in root cause analysis on interactions between software and hardware. This individual will collaborate closely with software developers, hardware engineers, and quality assurance teams to prioritize and address root causes. Additionally, they will drive enhancements in product design, development processes, and testing methodologies. The successful candidate must have the ability to meet tight deadlines, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to work independently.

About this roll* (Responsibilities) 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and design comprehensive test plans.
  • Develop and implement effective hands-on and data-driven root cause analysis and  testing strategies to ensure software quality throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts and shell commands using industry-standard frameworks and tools.
  • Continuously enhance and optimize automated test suites for testing software components and system integrations.
  • Perform regular regression testing to ensure that software updates and modifications do not adversely impact existing functionalities.
  • Validate and implement corrective & preventive actions to ensure system effectiveness.
  • Coordinate technical communication between suppliers and cross functional teams on quality issues found internally and externally, drive root cause analysis (RCA) and generate 8D reports to ensure product reliability and process traceability.
  • Adapt Six Sigma methodologies in stress/load testing devices (DMAIC, DOE, etc).

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. (Master's in Engineering or Management preferred)
  • Bachelor's not required with 10+ years of related experience
  • 5 years applicable experience in printed circuit board assembly, high volume manufacturing industry, quality management system
  • Six Sigma Green Belt. (ASQ Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions if eligible), equity, and benefits.Pay Range$99,000—$158,000 USD
