Receiving Specialist

RECEIVING SPECIALIST
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform documentation review and verification of certifications, specifications, and conformance to design requirements
- Verify all material received for conformity with purchase requirements, checking for damage, correct part numbers, quantity and revisions
- Approve or reject items and document inspection results as required
- Use electronic MRP system to route parts and components to proper departments
- Maintain strict material handling practices in accordance with good practice and procedures
- Coordinate internal receipt pickup and internal delivery service as required
- Transact to company computer systems per procedures
- Perform good housekeeping chores in area daily
- Work with Production customers for priority and schedule requirements
- Maintain strict material handling practices in accordance with procedures.
- May be required to perform other related duties as assigned
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of receiving, shipping, and/or material handling
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with ERP systems
- Forklift and other related inventory equipment experience
- Experience within the aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic fields
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted
- Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
- Willingness to work all required shift hours, overtime and weekends when need to meet critical deadlines
- Able and willing to travel domestically to obtain relevant certifications and to assist in development of skill sets at other SpaceX sites as needed
- Ability to pass Air Force background checks for Cape Canaveral

- To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
