RECEIVING SPECIALIST

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform documentation review and verification of certifications, specifications, and conformance to design requirements
• Verify all material received for conformity with purchase requirements, checking for damage, correct part numbers, quantity and revisions
• Approve or reject items and document inspection results as required
• Use electronic MRP system to route parts and components to proper departments 
• Maintain strict material handling practices in accordance with good practice and procedures
• Coordinate internal receipt pickup and internal delivery service as required
• Transact to company computer systems per procedures
• Perform good housekeeping chores in area daily
• Work with Production customers for priority and schedule requirements
• Maintain strict material handling practices in accordance with procedures.
• May be required to perform other related duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year of receiving, shipping, and/or material handling

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with ERP systems
• Forklift and other related inventory equipment experience
• Experience within the aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic fields
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted
• Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
• Willingness to work all required shift hours, overtime and weekends when need to meet critical deadlines
• Able and willing to travel domestically to obtain relevant certifications and to assist in development of skill sets at other SpaceX sites as needed
• Ability to pass Air Force background checks for Cape Canaveral
