Wayfair is seeking a Recruiting Coordinator to be the operational and community-driving force behind our hiring efforts in Athens. In this Coordinator hybrid role (80% coordination / 20% recruiting), you’ll ensure every candidate and stakeholder experience is seamless, professional, and efficient. You’ll serve as a boots-on-the-ground brand ambassador—connecting with the local community, supporting events, and driving applicant momentum.

We’re looking for someone who proactively builds relationships, is highly organized, tech-forward, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment. If you’re someone who welcomes feedback, loves improving processes, and knows your way around Google Suite like a pro, this is the role for you.

This is a 5 day in office onsite role.

What You’ll Do:
  • Coordinate all cross-functional partnerships, recruiting processes, including:
    • Offer letter generation, requisition submission, background check initiation, and audit documentation
    • Maintaining data accuracy in all recruiting systems and trackers
    • Running reports and ensuring alignment with hiring goals and process integrity.
  • Own candidate logistics for hybrid interviews: scheduling, coordinating, and welcoming candidates onsite.
  • Lead Day 1 onboarding touchpoints: conduct new hire meet and greets and serve as the Talent Acquisition point-of-contact.
  • Partner with Recruiters to support sourcing, resume review, and proactive referral outreach as needed.
  • Conduct interviews as needed to support high-volume hiring periods.
  • Lead localized talent outreach efforts:
  • Actively engage with the Athens and surrounding communities to drive interest in Wayfair’s hiring opportunities
  • Distribute marketing materials such as flyers and signage in targeted locations to increase brand visibility
  • Represent Wayfair at local job fairs, hiring events, and community programs to promote employment opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local organizations, schools, and community partners to support pipeline development and strengthen our employer brand
What You’ll Need:
  • 1–2 years of experience in recruiting coordination, HR support, operations, or an administrative role in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills with an acute attention to detail and accuracy
  • High proficiency with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms) and the ability to learn and navigate multiple platforms
  • Ability to be onsite 5 days a week, with flexibility to attend recruiting events at night or on weekends as needed (with comp days offered accordingly)
  • A proactive, curious mindset—always looking for ways to improve processes and enhance experience
  • Ability to confidently communicate and collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Independently accountable / fully owns initiatives without a manager onsite.
  • Receptive to feedback and able to implement changes with agility
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and shifting tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Professional presence and confidence in both virtual and in-person settings
