YOUR MISSION

In the context of “giving users easy access to anything in their city”, Q-commerce (Quick Commerce) is the business unit that aims to provide immediacy to all product needs that a user might have, from delivering a video game to sending a gift... to filling up their fridge. We do that through 3 verticals: Groceries with Partners, Groceries with our own Micro Fulfillment Centers (MFCs), and Retail Shops.As part of the MFCs Vertical team, the Regional Demand Planning Lead is responsible for leading the Local Planners who are in charge of accurately forecasting future product needs and strategically placing purchase orders with vendors to effectively replenish our MFCs and meeting customer needs for Spain, Italy, and Portugal. 

THE JOURNEY

Reporting directly to the Global Demand Planning Manager, for the countries assigned:

  • Monitor Supply Chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), striving for continuous improvement to meet and exceed departmental targets.
  • Define and implement action plans to achieve operational excellence in the supply chain by optimizing processes, reducing costs, improving efficiency, and enhancing overall performance.
  • Lead and manage a team of Demand Planners, providing guidance and support to ensure individual and team success.
  • Build strong partnerships with category management, marketing, and operations teams to align strategies and drive toward common goals.
  • Drive initiatives to increase operational performance within local suppliers, such as implementing best practices, optimizing inventory levels, ameliorating delivery conditions, and effectively managing potential risks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to help drive new tools and process improvements aimed at impacting key metrics and fulfilling the long-term vision of the demand planning area.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Mathematics, or a Supply Chain / Operations discipline.
  • Five years of relevant experience in the industry, preferably focused on Demand Planning and a deep understanding of Supply Chain.
  • Must possess excellent business judgment, strong written and oral communication skills, and a practical, common-sense approach to getting things done.
  • The ability to analyze and use critical thinking skills regularly is key.
  • A true team player: we are a small team and the leader occasionally has to take the role of a planner.
  • Proficiency in Google Applications.
  • Excellent English. Other European languages are a plus. 
PREFERRED SKILLS
  • SQL knowledge.
