YOUR MISSION
As a Regional Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the operational metrics and supply status of Romania regions. The couriers are a key player in Glovo’s marketplace, and you will need to ensure the long-term sustainability of the fleet, as well as its daily performance.
THE JOURNEY
- Analyze daily and weekly operational metrics with a macro view for the long-term success of all cities in the region
- Lead regional projects to increase efficiency, reduce delivery time, keep under control costs and improve quality
- Define and implement regional processes and campaigns for the acquisition and conversion of couriers
- Define and execute high-impact regional engagement and retention projects in coordination with the global ops team
- Understand, deep-dive and have complete awareness of the region’s supply situation at all times
- Make data-driven decisions to identify best practices and improve regional performance. Standardize processes among cities and countries
- Scale up processes to the whole region while ensuring the right balance between localisation and centralisation
- Develop analytical frameworks, dashboards and models for the region
- Liaise with the global Ops team to improve regional processes
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE
- Master’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g. Engineering, Economics, Business Administration or similar)
- Proficiency in English
- 4+ years of experience in highly demanding roles or analytical positions (operations, consulting, investment banking, finance, logistics, Six Sigma, analytics, strategy, etc.)
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and recommendations and drive actions
- A creative problem-solving mindset that enjoys experimentation
- The ability not only to plan an initiative but also to execute it
- Expertise in MS Excel
- Results-oriented, autonomous and efficient
- Experience in on-demand delivery (highly appreciated)
- SQL knowledge (highly appreciated)
- Willingness to travel: this role is based in Bucharest and requires frequent business trips (up to 50% of time).
