Where you’ll work:

At OVO, we understand that a one size fits all approach doesn’t work for everyone. That’s why we created the OVO Way of Flexibility.

All our roles are hub based (Bristol, Glasgow or London), providing a dedicated space for collaboration, connection and teamwork. You’ll also have the flexibility to work from home.

Everyone belongs at OVO

At OVO, we are on a mission to solve one of humanity's biggest challenges, the climate crisis. And we know it takes all of us to change the world. That's why we need diverse people from all abilities, gender identities, ethnicities, ages, sexual orientations, life experiences and backgrounds to join us.

Teamworking for the planet

Everything we do here spins around Plan Zero. So, naturally, the team you’ll be joining plays a gigantic role in making that happen. Here’s how:

We’ve made good progress on the UK’s path to net zero. But we can do better. Research shows that 100% renewable energy tariffs aren't actually making the grid greener. We have to go further. We need to save energy, use power at smarter times of the day and look at other ways to help our customers reduce their carbon footprint.

That’s where OVO Drive comes in, it's our dedicated electric vehicle business. We already provide hardware installations, home & public charging but we want so much more, we want to build a single app experience that covers everything an EV driver could need this role will play a huge part in that.

We work like a start up- using our entrepreneurial, OVO Way spirit to drive us forward. And we’ll be flexible about how we do it - trying new things, growing the ones that work and learning new, green skills as we go.

This role in a nutshell:

Sitting within the partnership team of OVO Drive this role will be a critical part of retaining our existing OEM partnerships such as Volkswagen Group and Volvo Cars UK.

You will be responsible for engaging, training and coaching OEM dealerships / retail networks (specifically their sales teams) on the partnership, OVO and the amazing customer offers we have in place.

An example would be: OVO have won a multi year partnership with Volkswagen Group and we need to provide face to face training for over 500 dealerships nationally, we need to ensure that every dealership has a sound understanding of OVO and the customer offer, ultimately using the offer to help more people transition to electric vehicles.

You’ll be representing OVO on the front line, so you’ll need to be super engaging and impactful but without being pushy. You should be helping the dealerships and their sales executives understand energy, tariffs and smart charging by being the subject matter expert there to help and support.

As some dealer networks may have their own training teams you could be training the trainer in some scenarios.

You’ll have a regional patch and be expected to travel within that region to match dealership availability.

Your key outcomes will be:

  • Responsibility for your region/patch.
  • Manage your own diary in line with dealership availability.
  • Engage dealerships to get your foot in the door and offer help and support via training/coaching.
  • Help build training materials and shape the nature of the training sessions.
  • Deliver concise and impactful training to build sales executive excitement. Motivation for the partnership is a key output.
  • Ensure dealership employees have the skills and knowledge to achieve the partnership goals.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness and success of the training program, making recommendations where appropriate.
  • Building rapport with decision makers within various different dealership networks.
  • Provide continuous feedback on sessions, content, queries so we can improve the materials and ultimately the success of the role and the broader partnership.

You’ll be a successful Regional training manager - EV at OVO if you…

  • Have experience of working with large, complex OEMs.
  • Direct experience within a dealership/group or having worked with/within a dealer/retail network..
  • Have training/coaching experience - Within an OEM or dealership/retail network..

  • Able to operate independently.
  • Have  an ability to explain complex topics such as energy and smart charging  in a way that is accessible to a wide range of audiences.
