Lincoln International follows a hybrid work structure with an emphasis on in office collaboration.Our employees work in our Chicago office Monday through Thursday each week, with the option to work remotely or from the office on Fridays. Our office is located at 110 N Wacker Drive, just blocks from Union Station & Ogilvie Transportation Center.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Research Analyst position within the Capital Advisory Group provides an excellent opportunity to support a new initiative focused on expanding our business development efforts for our restructuring and creditor rights business. The Research Analyst will serve as the anchor for this initiative with regards to research, analytics, and overall organization. The Research Analyst may have the opportunity to evolve / transition into a traditional Transaction Analyst in the Capital Advisory Group over time as well. Responsibilities at Lincoln International are often more entrepreneurial than at other firms providing self-motivated individuals with many opportunities to contribute to a dynamic and growing platform. Successful Analysts are assertive, motivated self-starters with the desire and potential to succeed in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Identifying and maintaining a database of potential target businesses / clients
- Maintaining an external watch list along with related credit profiles
- Preparing and completing “idea books” to pitch to target businesses / clients
- Preparing marketing materials for meetings with potential clients
- Interacting with clients and preparing meeting deliverables and follow ups
- Tracking the capital markets and analyzing any changes within the markets
- Supporting the senior members of the Capital Advisory Group (specifically within the creditor business marketing initiative)
Qualifications:
The Analyst position at Lincoln International is extremely challenging, offers an excellent learning experience and provides a solid foundation upon which an individual can build a future business career. Interested candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Analytic foundation with understanding of financial statements and proficient Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong writing skills and experience with PowerPoint and Microsoft Word
- Effective organizational skills and the aptitude to manage people and work products
- Self-motivated and experienced in taking initiative on thoughtful research and related analysis
- Strong communication skills and experience interacting with teammates and clients
- One to two years of professional experience in corporate finance, equity research (or similar), accounting, or related field
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field from top tier institution; strong academic record
