Research and Design Operations, Storefront

We are looking for someone passionate in Research and Design Operations to manage our day-to-day operations and license management for Storefront Product Designers and Researchers, as well as coordinate user research studies. As a core and trusted member of Storefront Experience Design (SF XD), you will play a significant role in enabling the team to move faster and be equipped with the right tools.
What You’ll Do
- Tools
- Manage vendor relationships for design and research tools, acting as the key point-of-contact with account reps
- Track the utilization of license usage and coordinating with stakeholders to forecast platform needs during regular intervals and ahead of contract renewals
- Manage license seat requests and allocation
- Draft vendor contracts renewals and associated research, vet tools through legal, security and procurement process
- Develop a baseline competency in the tools being managed, in order to assist others
- XD Tools include: Figma, UserTesting.com, Fable, Alida, Tremendous, User Interviews, Lottie
- User Research: Leverage existing vendor partnerships like Alida to curate, manage, and schedule a high-quality sample pool of user research participants for multiple user research studies
- Onboard new SF XD employees, working with managers to provide templates and support
- Partner with TPM on A11Y Program to integrate best practices with our vendors and help run monthly recurring a11y test in Fable and helping to vet new components/experiences for a11y compliance
- Partner with TPMs to maintain a label-generated dashboard in Jira for all XD work
- Other responsibilities could include
- Schedule and coordinate SF XD Events, including monthly team meetings, Pod outings, and special one-off events
- Lead internal trainings, onboarding, and help channels on XD tools
This role’s path for growth includes future opportunities to help shape XD culture, lead new tactics to enable the team and improve processes, and be a strategic partner in roadmap planning in line with the larger organization.
We Are a Match Because You Have:
- Experience or training in operations, administration, traffic/project management, or similar roles, ideally in a digital product environment
- Baseline knowledge of design and research tools such as Figma and UserTesting.com
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience training employees on tools or processes
- A plus if you have experience or baseline knowledge of accessibility standards and WCAG
