ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a great opportunity for creative problem solvers, and you’ll get to be central to how we create impact. You will be leading staffing and allocations based on project requirements and utilization trends. We’re on the hunt for someone who feels empowered to make big decisions and a big difference.
The primary responsibility of the role is to manage staffing for all new and active client projects in the US office, acting as liaison among the team for all resourcing-related issues. They will also work directly with the Senior Director of Operations, North America to support key analysis and decision making, as well as working with Recruitment and HR to facilitate appropriate staffing based on aggregate understanding of project requirements, staffing trends and future staffing needs.
It is essential that the person in this role enforces existing company processes with resourcing partners (project managers, project leads and office leadership) and helps to evolve and enhance resource reporting to inform business decisions based on accurate data.
This role reports to the Senior Director of Operations, North America and will be a part of the US team. We are open to candidates based anywhere in the US, however the role must be willing to work GMT timezone as needed.
This role is a full time staff position, open to remote working and offered at the Manager tier, with a salary range of $75,000 - $90,000, plus benefits and a generous PTO policy.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for global staffing, maintaining knowledge of current and upcoming project resourcing teams and needs.
- Act as point of contact for all resource booking requests, confirmations and develop solutions in support of client deliverables - ensuring the right resources, with the right skill sets, are available at the right times.
- Work with Project Managers and Project Leads to identify appropriate resource requirements for each account and project in collaboration.
- Develop and deploy resourcing approaches that meet utilization targets and long-term staffing strategies.
- Manage, update, and communicate changes to staffing data in Mavenlink/Kantata and supporting forecast sheets.
- Manage conflict resolution by developing solutions that balance business goals and impact opportunities with team and project priorities
- Work in close collaboration with the local SD of Operations on effective staffing strategies for new business opportunities
- Liaise with resourcing managers from other geographies to coordinate shared resources on an as-needed basis.
- Proactively look for growth opportunities for project teams in line with their individual goals
- Own the accuracy of the monthly utilization report and support the Sr Director of Operations with additional business reporting and analysis to inform decision making
- Develop strategic hiring recommendations and create comprehensive business cases for recruitment in collaboration with the People Experience team, functional leads, and Sr Director of Operations - based on utilization trends and future projections
- Support in the development of cross-functional training on Resource Management best practices, Mavenlink implementation, and other processes related to resource allocation.
- Alert Senior Management team of any potential concerns or issues with meeting key client deliverables due to resourcing.
- Drive timesheet compliance to ensure accurate business reporting that informs hiring decisions.
- Support the Recruitment team on maintaining and updating the Contractor Pipeline.
ABOUT YOU
- Resource management, project management or business operations experience as a project manager, traffic manager, recruiter, or resource manager (or other business with a matrixed staffing model)
- Proficiency in standard business word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software (Purpose primarily uses Google services).
- Effective conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills.
- Clear and concise communication in both written and verbal form.
- Ability to be diplomatic to drive business forward or obtain results through ambiguity and conflicting needs.
- Highly detail oriented and able to work autonomously.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines with confidence and ease.
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload across multiple groups.
- Familiarity with Mavenlink, our resource and financial reporting platform, is a huge plus.
- Eligibility to work in the US.
