What You'll Do:

LogicMonitor is disrupting the hybrid cloud monitoring market by changing the way businesses use disparate sources of data. We are already a leader in this space – and we started by solving the hardest, most complicated problem first. With roots in the IT Infrastructure Monitoring space, we have carved out excellent product-market fit in hybrid cloud monitoring. Our customers love LogicMonitor's ability to bring cloud and traditional IT together into one view, as seen in minimal churn rates, expansion business, and exciting new customer references. As we enter this next phase of growth, we are in search of a Resource Manager, Professional Services.

We're looking for a skilled Resource Manager at LogicMonitor to optimize role resourcing and project capacity for Professional Services engagements. As a crucial member of Professional Services, you will be the liaison among multiple Professional Services departments (Engineering, Training, and PMO) as it relates to proactively resourcing forecasted work and addressing ongoing resourcing needs for in-flight engagements. The Resource Manager will also work directly with CX Operations, Recruitment, and HR to identify and facilitate appropriate staffing needs across the department based on aggregate understanding of project requirements, forecasts, and estimates.

As the Resource Manager, you'll leave your mark by developing processes and procedures to optimize global requests, ensuring meticulous management of resources for all projects in order to ensure a timely delivery. Be a proactive partner and communicator, addressing potential capacity or availability issues that might impact deadlines. We're seeking someone with a distinctive mix of proficiency in tech-based solutions, people management skills, and robust communication abilities.

Here's a closer look at this key role:

  • Act as the main contact for resource selection, conflict resolution, and solution development, aiming to balance resource utilization with planning targets, skills allocation, and staffing levels.
  • Drive the management of utilization metrics, reporting to the PS management team on a weekly basis.
  • Resolve resource scheduling conflicts and proactively identify instances of under- or over-utilization, collaborating with PS management for resolution.
  • Develop and maintain a resourcing forecast model in the Professional Services PSA system (Kantata) based on weekly meetings input.
  • Stay informed about current and upcoming projects, business development activities, and potential resourcing issues, resolving conflicts with project teams as needed.
  • Host regular meetings with the PS management team to discuss projects, new business, and potential issues, including resource and change control matters.
  • Alert the PS management team to potential resourcing or process issues, presenting applicable resolutions.
  • Work with departments to identify and manage subcontractors/vendors for specific project requirements.
  • Facilitate collaboration processes with other departments to schedule Professional Services resources as needed.
  • Recommend process improvements for Resource Management and general operations.
  • Develop and manage a cross-training program for the Professional Services team, maximizing billable resource utilization by ensuring the availability of the right resources with the right skill sets at the right times.
What You'll Need:
  • 3-5 years resource management, project management, or staffing experience in the software solutions industry.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications including Microsoft Excel.
  • Mavenlink/Kantata/FinancialForce experience is a plus.
  • Assertive conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear and concise communication in both written and verbal form.
  • Ability to be diplomatic or firm when necessary in order to drive business forward or obtain results.
  • Highly detail oriented and able to work autonomously.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines with confidence and ease.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload across multiple groups.
