YOUR MISSION

We are looking for a Retail Manager to lead and grow the Non-Food Retail vertical in Q-Commerce Romania. From pharmacies to pet stores, flower shops to consumer electronics’ stores — your scope will be everything that is not a restaurant or supermarket. You will lead a team of Account Managers and be directly responsible for growing our portfolio of retail partners — through both sales excellence and outstanding partner management. This role is focused on new business development (hunting and closing top-tier partners) and on partner success (account strategy, sales performance, and relationship building).

 

THE JOURNEY

  • Own the strategy and execution for the Retail vertical in Romania, ensuring strong growth and sustainable economics
  • Lead your team to acquire and onboard high-potential retail partners: identify top prospects, craft win-win pitches, and negotiate impactful deals
  • Collaborate with your Account Managers to drive the growth of existing partners, ensuring commercial performance, operational excellence, and strong relationships
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Ops, Legal, Finance, and Global Q-Commerce to drive scalable initiatives and processes
  • Analyze data to understand trends, identify improvement areas, and make data-driven decisions
  • Be a true ambassador of Glovo’s values and culture within your team and with external partners
  • Drive team engagement, coaching and performance to build a high-performing team

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

  • 4–6 years of experience in sales, category management, retail partnerships, or account management (ideally in e-commerce, specialised retail, or fast-paced tech environment)
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills – you know how to build value-based pitches and close deals that drive business
  • Hands-on account management or category growth experience – you’ve grown partners and improved commercial KPIs before
  • Proven team leadership experience – you’ve managed or mentored others and driven team success
  • Strong analytical skills – you’re comfortable making decisions based on data
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • A get-it-done mentality: you are hands-on, resilient, and thrive in a fast-changing environment
  • Fluency in Romanian and English is required
