OVERVIEW

Perigold is seeking a Retail Marketing Associate to join the Perigold Marketing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating and executing a robust marketing playbook to drive traffic to our first-ever Perigold retail stores and enabling a cohesive omnichannel shopping experience.  You will drive our local marketing campaigns and activations for our physical retail stores and lead the ongoing coordination and optimization as store locations scale.

This role is based in Boston and reports to Perigold’s Head of Brand, Editorial, and Partnerships,  with significant cross-functional exposure across our Retail, Field, Marketing, Content, Creative, and Category Management teams.

What You’ll Do

  • In partnership with manager and CMO, lead our retail marketing efforts that help blend our ecommerce strategy with hyperlocal media strategies to drive customers to visit Perigold stores
  • Develop and own retail marketing plan & ongoing calendars
  • Own the process of executing end-to-end physical retail marketing campaigns: from planning to communication, execution, briefing our field teams, and reporting through completion. This includes regular collaboration with key stakeholders on deliverables and schedules
  • Own communication workflow with our store field teams to ensure seamless execution of marketing tactics in-store; develop and iterate on processes to aid the communication flow 
  • Support strategy for local mall marketing, community & influencer marketing, in partnership with corporate retail team and local store teams 
  • Write creative briefs and enter tickets for the creative team, ensuring a customer-first lens to our creative executions
  • Develop and manage creative learning agenda to accelerate results for retail marketing. Act as a key collaborative partner to creative leads, sharing key learnings about creative so they can iterate and improve
  • Liaise with core marketing channels (e.g. e-mail, to develop store marketing strategies and drive cohesion across omni-channel experiences 
  • Liaise with store signage team and contribute to briefs to ensure cohesion across digital and store experiences
  • Create tools and processes to enable scalability of retail marketing playbook in preparation for future store expansion  
  • Contribute to team budget management including submission of POs, invoices, and monitoring of spend on a regular basis to ensure we are managing to our budget goals
  • Build and maintain team project planning and progress tracking tools
  • Travel to store locations to implement, pressure test, and evolve retail marketing and brand playbook in partnership with field teams

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a strong academic record
  • 6 months - 2 years of experience in corporate retail, e-commerce, or CPG ideally in a marketing activation or integrated marketing role
  • Exceptional project and time management skills. Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities and time-sensitive milestones
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, for internal and partner facing communications
  • An ownership mindset - ability to thrive in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment with a dynamic bias for action and a “get stuff done” attitude
  • Comfort in drawing conclusions from data; proficiency in Excel, SQL, or other analytical tool a plus
  • Highly organized with the ability to context switch and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to learn and attitude of a true team player- positive, enthusiastic, and self motivated
  • Experience in providing creative direction and working with creative teams to develop assets
  • Interest, familiarity with or experience in the interior design industry, with a strong taste level and ability to identify strong creative through both a subjective and analytical (data-driven) lens
  • Passionate about the customer with an interest in delivering an exceptional customer experience
  • Collaborative team player who wants to see themselves and others thrive
  • Prior retail experience is a plus
