What we’re looking for:

 

We are looking for a highly analytical, driven, detailed, and organized professional that can help us improve operational excellence with our sales process, tools and productivity. In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your data skills and become an expert in our sales process and systems, and directly support our Solution Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have experience working within sales operations, or data analyst function, ideally within a SaaS company. Responsibilities:

 

  • Ticket Management: Independently review requests and troubleshoot to understand technical challenges, define root causes, and resolve problems.
  • Process & Documentation: Develop a deep knowledge of tools and processes to help document and improve effectiveness. Optimize and create documentation to complete ongoing tasks.
  • Reports and Analytics: Create reports in Salesforce and Google Sheets (using tools such as BigQuery). Gather reporting requirements and effectively deliver on reporting requests to support data-driven decision making. 
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Effectively liaise between Sales Engineering, Sales, Contracts, Pricing, Partner Operations and Finance to support decision making, process improvements and data insights.
  • Understand Business Objectives: Collaborate with key stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of the company's business objectives and revenue goals. Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.
  • Support Pre-Sales: Work closely with the pre-sales team to optimize processes and provide analytical support. Analyze pre-sales data to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency in the sales pipeline.
  • Manage Behaviors to Improve Results: Identify and analyze key behaviors that impact revenue generation. Develop strategies to influence and optimize behaviors among sales and pre-sales teams for improved results.
  • Set KPIs (Key Performance Indicators): Collaborate with teams to define and establish relevant KPIs aligned with business objectives. Monitor and report on KPIs regularly, providing insights into performance trends.
  • Build Dashboards for SE's (Sales Engineers) to Track Performance: Design and implement dashboards tailored to Sales Engineers' needs, allowing them to track and measure their performance against set KPIs. Provide training and support to ensure effective utilization of dashboards.
  • Advise on Measures and Areas to Report On: Offer strategic guidance on the key metrics and areas that should be regularly reported on to drive informed decision-making. Identify opportunities for improvement based on analysis of reported data.
  • Streamline and Standardize Reporting: Streamline existing reporting processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort. Implement standardized reporting formats to ensure consistency and clarity in communication.
  • Run Bi-weekly Forecast Calls: Organize and lead bi-weekly forecast calls, facilitating collaboration between sales, pre-sales, and other relevant teams. Provide insights into forecast accuracy and work with teams to refine forecasting methodologies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify areas for improvement in revenue operations processes. 
  • Data Integrity and Accuracy: Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all data used in revenue operations analyses. Implement and monitor data quality controls to maintain reliable and actionable information.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong collaboration and communication with sales, pre-sales, finance, and other relevant teams. Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to drive alignment and action.

 

About You:

 

  • Proficient with Excel/Google Sheets for intermediate to complex data analysis and data manipulation (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, CONCATENATE, etc)
  • Strong time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills
  • Experience in data operations or related roles preferred
  • Experience at SaaS company preferred
  • You have a passion for data and how quality data benefits the organization
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar database tools
  • Experience analyzing sales metrics, with a focus on Solution Engineering being advantageous 
  • SQL, Data interpretation, Python and Google data tools experience advantageous
