The Risk Management team sits within our Regulation, Risk and Policy area.  Reporting into the Senior Risk Manager you’ll play a vital role in embedding risk governance, helping our teams to understand their Risks and Opportunities and the ways in which we can control them, helping OVO to drive progress to Zero Carbon Living.

 

This role in a nutshell:

As a Risk Manager in OVO you will partner with leaders across OVO to support and embed risk management:

  • Facilitating the identification, analysis and evaluation of risk;
  • Providing advice to Risk Owners on the suitability of controls, key risk indicators and key control indicators;
  • Being responsible for ongoing monitoring of risks against the Risk Appetite set by the OVO  senior team;
  • Assisting the periodic review of the Principal Risks and Risk Appetite for OVO.
  • Producing value-adding reporting on risk to ensure stakeholders at all levels can make informed decisions;
  • Supporting the development of a culture within OVO that understands risk and enables risk-based decision making.

 

Your key outcomes will be:

  • Understand OVO, its culture, its mission and the external and internal factors influencing risk.
  • Build positive relationships with key stakeholders across OVO.
  • Provide regular, insightful risk reporting to Senior Leaders to keep them informed about the risks that they are directly responsible for and across the wider organisation.
  • Develop and maintain Risk Management processes and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain Risk Management training to help socialise risk management responsibilities throughout OVO.
  • Work closely with our policy team to maintain awareness of risks that may be emerging.

 

You’ll be a successful Risk Manager here at OVO if you have…

  • Experience of risk management in a regulated sector – sound understanding of risk management principles and techniques;
  • A recognised professional qualification in risk management and/or be degree level educated;
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders;
  • Resilient in character with strong ethical values and the determination to get it right.

We’ll pay you between £48,440 and £58,500, depending on your specific skills and experience. If your expectations are a little different, have a chat with us!
