This role is an onsite position based out of one of our Final Mile Delivery Centers, with available locations including Aurora, CO; Burlington, NJ; West Chester, OH; Houston, TX; McDonough, GA; Orlando, FL; or City of Industry, CA.

Shifts:

  • Tuesday - Saturday 3:30 PM - 12 AM EDT
  • Tuesday - Saturday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM EDT

The Transportation Routing team is looking to add a Routing Supervisor to our team. This person will play a key role in planning routes that deliver perfect, cost effective orders at scale for a portfolio of Wayfair’s first/last mile depots (10-15 depots). 

What you will do:

  • Lead a team of 4-5 specialists covering a portfolio of depots (10-15 agents) in the execution of daily outbound routes for first and/or last mile routes. 
  • Plan OB truck counts  for the short term (1-3 days) and medium term (1-2 weeks) based on forecasted and actual volume trends
  • Use data to drive continuous improvement in core business outcomes: 
    • Planned Stops per Route, Transportation Efficiency (Utilization), Scheduled Dwell, In-Window %, Routes > 11 Hrs, and Route Review Timing
  • Identify and size opportunities for Routing processes with clear recommendations for action
  • Build a culture of safety, standardization, and ingenuity 
  • Drive compliance of Routing SOPs, including Route Publish, to ensure defect-free handoffs to local depots
  • Partner with Terminal/Site Managers, Regional Leaders and Carrier Performance to achieve shared business outcomes (Speed, Cost and Service)
  • Confidently report on portfolio’s performance, trends, and next steps during Weekly Business Reviews with Routing and Home Delivery leadership
  • Direct Supervision of  4-5 Routing Specialists
  • Provide Manager-on-Duty support to any L1 Routing Specialist or operational partner team

  • Identifies & connects with the needed cross functional teams to make workstreams more efficient 
  • Utilizes all tools available to analyze data from various sources to size opportunities & raises when additional visibility is required
  • Identifies gaps/ inconsistencies in solution & identifies resources needed to align leadership
  • Utilizes data when providing written updates to peer stakeholder groups, clearly describing key takeaways and findings 

The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $89,000 however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
