Who we are & why we’re hiring

Twilio powers real-time business communications and data solutions that help companies and developers worldwide build better applications and customer experiences.

Although we're headquartered in San Francisco, we have presence throughout South America, Europe, Asia and Australia. We're on a journey to becoming a global company that actively opposes racism and all forms of oppression and bias. At Twilio, we support diversity, equity & inclusion wherever we do business.

About the job

This position is needed to lead Twilio’s Japan Business.

Twilio ISVs and Partners represent the biggest opportunity for growth of our business in Japan. For this business to keep flourishing, we need to build local processes and systems. It’s imperative that we act as an extension of partner/customer’s business; providing CPaaS/CCaaS consultation, and technical guidance across Twilio’s Messaging, Voice, Email and Contact Center technology stack. The existing team is operationally efficient, and scrappy - qualities we are seeking in a leader. To drive this business forward, we need a leader with strong Bilingual Japanese/English speaking skills that can work with Twilio’s North American Product, Engineering and Ops teams to drive favorable outcomes for our existing and new Japanese customers.

  • Be the Regional Leader - you are the Executive interfacing with our largest and most critical customers in Japan
  • Manage a team of AE and SEs
  • Responsible for the gross profit of the region
  • Operationalize our GTM Partner motion for efficiency and effectiveness
  • Create GTM Partner and technical playbooks that help protect revenue and capture all new opportunity
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive the above initiatives
  • Be the “go-to” and problem solver for all issues in the region
Qualifications

Not all applicants will have skills that match a job description exactly. Twilio values diverse experiences in other industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. While having “desired” qualifications make for a strong candidate, we encourage applicants with alternative experiences to also apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!

Required:

  • Comfortable working with business and highly technical leaders, while influencing their understanding and building supportive Partnerships
  • Demonstrated track-record of managing Partner engagements
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with appetite to define process and build programs
  • Record of delivering market driven results, especially to ISVs
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience
