This position is responsible for developing and executing Japan’s field marketing strategy, including helping drive category awareness, executive engagement and adoption of Databricks Data Intelligence platform. This role requires a company and category builder with strong communication and organizational skills to lead, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. The candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment, understands the dynamics of working with global and Asia Pacific marketing stakeholders, and creating innovative, high impact, out-of-the-box campaigns. You will report to the VP Marketing, APJ.

Outcomes:

Orchestrate strategy development, program execution & alignment across global & APJ marketing teams, in-region SDR, as well as country sales leadership with the goal of delivering and exceeding relevant metrics assigned. This includes press coverage, customer advocacy, as well as driving new business.

What we look for:

  • Successful and demonstrated track record in marketing high growth, tech start-ups.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in field marketing, demand generation, communications, event & campaign management, marketing to decision-makers as well as leveraging partners as an extension of the marketing team.
  • Strong understanding of funnel metrics and levers to move the needle on generating qualified leads, accelerating pipeline velocity and customer adoption.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation systems (e.g Marketo) and ability to navigate Salesforce & Tableau to pull reports on specific campaigns and leads metric.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills to interpret data, generate insights and translate into actionable changes.
  • Strong project management and communications skills to effectively manage multiple projects with tight deadlines, perform under pressure, deliver results in a demanding and fast-paced environment that requires fresh thinking and innovation.
  • Fluency in Japanese with business level English is a requirement
