Manager, Safety & Security Intelligence
Wayfair is seeking a Safety & Security Manager to oversee operations at our India Technology Development Center (TDC). This is a unique opportunity to join our Global Safety & Security team and play a critical role in protecting Wayfair’s people, assets, and global operations.
This individual will manage contracted security staff, lead incident monitoring and response, and own the India TDC’s safety and security program. In addition, they will support international events, investigations, and monitoring by gathering and sharing information that helps keep Wayfair employees and operations safe.

What You’ll Do
- Leadership & Oversight
- Lead and manage a contracted security team providing 24/7 coverage at the India TDC.
- Act as the satellite GSOC’s manager, overseeing daily monitoring of alarms, CCTV, access control, and incident escalations.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce post orders, training, and operational procedures to ensure guard force effectiveness and compliance with GLOSS standards.
- Safety & Security
- Own the site safety and security program, ensuring compliance with local regulations and Wayfair policies.
- Serve as the key point of contact for emergencies, incidents, and investigations involving the India TDC.
- Partner with local law enforcement, regulatory bodies, and emergency responders during crises or planned exercises.
- Global GSOC & Event Support
- Monitor global threats and emerging risks that may impact Wayfair’s people, sites, and supply chain.
- Support international events and high visibility business activities with security planning, monitoring, and incident response.
- Collaborate with GLOSS investigations and intelligence teams to collect, analyze, and share relevant security information.
- Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong working relationships with internal partners (Facilities, HR, Operations, Technology) to drive resilience and preparedness.
- Represent Wayfair to external stakeholders, including security vendors, regulators, and industry networks.
- Deliver site level training, awareness sessions, and emergency drills to promote a strong safety culture.
What You’ll Need
- 6+ years in safety and security operations, with at least 3 years managing contracted security staff, GSOC functions, or equivalent operational leadership.
- Ability to conduct onsite physical security activities including standing and walking for extended periods, climbing stairs, performing foot patrols in varying weather/terrain, and responding quickly to emergencies.
- Familiarity with access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and incident management systems (e.g., Lenel, ExacQvision).
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, coach, and direct security officers or contracted personnel.
- Strong problem solving and crisis management skills, with sound judgment in both routine and emergency scenarios.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of engaging with site leadership, global partners, and external agencies.
- Ability to travel within India and internationally (U.S., Europe, and Asia) to support enterprise operations.
- Comfort working in a high visibility, fast paced environment with shifting priorities and global scope.
