SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...The Sales Operations BI & Data Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the System Engineering organization at Pure Storage. You will work in a complex, fast-moving environment with multiple senior stakeholders to create & maintain business intelligence reporting, partner directly with our SE Managers to provide actionable insights through data and partner with our senior leaders to use data to help drive our strategic outcome. They will review existing code bases to enhance efficiency and speed, assist us in moving to a single source of truth, own and manage the intake request from the field, support our Lead BA in bug review and fixes, and help define and build areas of automation.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Drive operational excellence through optimization of key “run the business” data models
  • Conduct various data mining activities to draw out business insights on key sales performance indicators and operational metrics
  • Gather requirements, develop, test and implement dashboards and reports that are automated and scalable
  • Update and maintain existing weekly/monthly/quarterly dashboards and reports improving efficiency and automating 
  • Prioritize and manage field requests and bugs to ensure greatest impact and focus on solving key business problems that drive field behaviors
  • Perform ad hoc analysis including, but not limited to, business trends, sales productivity, and scenario modeling across multiple geographies, product lines, and business units 
  • Consult with leadership to understand current and future business goals and strategies to ensure that business intelligence data, reporting and analyses are aligned
  • Translate business questions/problems  into actionable & insightful reports and dashboards, that are intuitive making it easy for the business stakeholders to understand how to action
  • Support in the creation and maintenance of any training materials needed for new information or rollouts regarding the data provided to the field.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

  • 5+ years of Business and Data Analyst experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or computer science
  • Advanced experience with SnowFlake/SQL, Tableau, and coding
  • Hands-on analytical mindset and quantitative focus passionate about analyzing and synthesizing business metrics and raw data to distill performance trends and business insights for executive decision-making; expertise in statistical modeling a plus   
  • Past Sales Operations or Business Intelligence experience is a plus
  • Strong communication and “story-telling” skills, particularly to executive management
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, work well under pressure and adapt quickly to change
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, project management, and financial modeling abilities
  • Self-motivated curiosity, sense of urgency, ability to pivot seamlessly between big picture and fine level granularity, and relentless focus on outcomes not activity
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally, through strong relationship building, influencing, negotiating and communication skills, with all levels of management.
  • Advanced Excel modeling and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with SFDC, Clari and Anaplan software is a plus

The annual base salary range is: $105,000 - $158,000.  Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
