The ChallengeReporting to the Senior Manager of Generalist Consultants, the Salesforce Generalist Consultant will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless and efficient execution of our Lead to Order processes within the Salesforce ecosystem. The ideal candidate possesses hands-on SFDC configuration skills, with a particular emphasis on solution design and flows. This role will be involved with project execution, enhancements, reducing technical debt, troubleshooting bugs, and occasional project management. She/he must possess a service-oriented demeanor and a passion for working with Salesforce technology.
The Mission:1. Order Management and Processing:
- Configure and maintain Salesforce objects, fields, validation rules, workflow rules, and process builder to support efficient order management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams Salesforce Solution Architects to understand solution designs and help implement them
- Ensure accurate order data capture, validation, and processing, adhering to established business rules and standards.
2. Quote-to-Cash Automation:
- Implement and QA Lead-to-Order automation, primarily done in Flow
- Comfortable migrating workflow rules and process builders to Flow
- Not required, but bonus if you are familiar with CPQ Automaton such as price rules, product rules, discount schedules, and contract generation.
- The person in this role will be responsible for doing QA on their own work; support with UAT will be provided in some cases but not all
3. Data Integrity and Security:
- Implement and maintain data quality best practices to ensure accurate and reliable Lead to Order data.
- Enforce data security measures, including user access controls, data sharing rules, and field-level security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve user-reported issues, collaborating with other technical teams when necessary
4. Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with Salesforce updates, new features, and best practices, and proactively recommend enhancements to the Lead to Order process.
- Lead or participate in process improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and accuracy.
Additional Responsibilities
- Advanced troubleshooting for end users
- Assist senior manager with the most urgent requests that we receive
- Providing advanced support for Salesforce requests and escalated administrative needs of users
- Overseeing Quality Assurance (QA) and implement changes requested from User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for large deployments using the Salesforce Testing Framework.
- Keeping up to date with Salesforce releases, features, and best practices and making recommendations to management regarding their implementation.
- Communicating with Solution Architects & stakeholders and maintain good working relationships with them.
- Ability to QA configuration in a developer sandbox, promote it to a full copy sandbox for UAT, then release to Production (we use Gearset for this, so familiarity with Gearset or willingness to learn how to use it is needed)
Your Experience Includes
- 1-2 Years experience in a Salesforce Admin role
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 1 Salesforce Certification
- Familiarity with Salesforce Flows and Salesforce Process Builders
- Familiarity with Roles, Profiles, Permission Sets, Org-Wide Sharing, FLS
- Proficiency in writing Salesforce Validation Rules & Formulas
- You know when to use a Before Save, After Save, Before Delete or Scheduled Flow
- You know how to run Apex Test Classes
- Complex Formula writing - able to write formulas for formula fields, validation rules, entry criteria, etc. that follow best practices and utilize the fewest characters to achieve the goal
- Experience working at a startup
- Experience gathering requirements for Salesforce configuration
For California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, and Washington-based candidates: the annual base pay range for this role is listed below. Within this range, individual pay is determined by several factors, including location, job-related skills, work experience, and relevant education and/or training. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, equity, and/or commissions, as well as benefits.
