Role Summary: 

We are looking for Salesforce Solution Architect on an initial 6 month contract to play a crucial role on an important project to revamp our Salesforce implementation to maximise adoption and value among our commercial users (Sales, Account Management and Partner Services) Globally. As a Solution Architect you will partner with commercial stakeholders from various regions (countries) to educate them on Salesforce, create a vision, plan, develop and deploy business-critical capabilities to enable Account Managers around the globe. As part of an engineering team, you will act as the liaison between commercial stakeholders and the Engineering team to design and deliver a Salesforce Solution that meets the business requirements within the current Salesforce platform. You will break the work into logical releases and project manage technical delivery of high-quality work. Fast-paced environments and a passion for delivering complex features in collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential. The role can be either London or fully UK remote based whichever suits your location, lifestyle and preference.

Responsibilities: 

  • Vision: Partner with Product Research, Commercial and Engineering teams to design a Salesforce solution and architecture that meet our business requirements, maximises standard Salesforce features and considers integration with existing systems (Salesforce, third party, Deliveroo systems). 
  • Planning: Propose a plan that breaks the work down into smaller releases, identifies dependencies from other teams (inside and outside of our team) and collaborates with Engineering Manager and Product Manager to line up both the engineering team and stakeholders to execute on your proposal. 
  • Project Execution: Works closely with the EM to understand development timelines, coordinates with other technology teams, manage dependencies, and support successful solution deployment. Lead releases end-to-end, taking ownership of planning milestones, timelines, stakeholder communication, and testing. 
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Use extensive experience and knowledge of Salesforce to advise stakeholders on best practices as applicable to Account Management. 

Requirements: 

  • Proven experience as a Salesforce Solution Architect, delivering successful Salesforce projects. 
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise as a Senior Administrator and/or Salesforce development, configuration, and customization (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of Sales and Service cloud functionality and best practices around Salesforce. 
  • Experience in customer facing roles, acting as an advisor to stakeholders on the salesforce functionality and bridging communication gaps around requirements with Engineering teams. 
  • Understanding of integrating Salesforce with other systems and applications (using third party apps, REST, SOAP API, ETL) 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to analyse complex business requirements and translate them into Salesforce solutions. 
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Platform Developer, Salesforce Certified Administrator, or Salesforce Certified Technical Architect are highly desirable.
