THE ROLE

Key responsibilitiesThe Security Architect is a vital role within Agilisys and will lead the integration of key information security principles and compliance requirements into our complex digital transformation project. This role is involved in all security aspects of cloud technologies such as, but not limited to, compute, storage, security, DR, PaaS, migration tooling, networking. The role will require presentations to the Agilisys Technical Design Authority procedures, and client presentations/workshops. In addition, the role will play a key role in collating lessons learned, and applying these to the practices processes, standards and artefacts to ensure Continual Service Improvement. 

Specific dutiesDepending on the project, you will need to be comfortable doing the following:•    Designing and implementing enterprise security solutions that adhere to Zero Trust principles, security by design, and defence in depth.•    Ensuring solutions align to and enable relevant public sector information security frameworks/certifications such as Cyber Essentials Plus, Public Services Network (PSN) code of connection, NHS DSPT.•    Following and promoting best practices based on ISO 27001, NCSC cloud security principles and Microsoft security good practice recommendations.•    Ensure that all cloud-based solutions are architected and deployed securely, in line with best practices and organisation policies.•    Working with the information security team to understand and champion information security requirements throughout solutions.•    Conduct system validation that ensures security compliance•    Analysis of applications and systems based on cloud and on-premises infrastructure and servers to define security standards and processes.•    Working with stakeholders, users and third parties, to deliver effective security solutions that deliver value for money to the public, utilising frameworks and methodologies such as TOGAF to deliver.

OpportunityThis role is an excellent platform for experienced professionals to take their career to the next level.  As a Security Architect, you will have an established track record of security architecture experience within the IT infrastructure sector, defining methodologies for build and application migration, standard artefacts and preferably, delivering to enterprise scale clients. ABOUT YOUThe ideal candidate will have a track-record in delivering results while embracing change and uncertainty. Excellent stakeholder management experience is essential to being successful in this role.

The Ideal Candidate•    Proven experience (5 years+) of working in a technical Information Security role, ideally in public sector organisations, although experience in other sectors will be considered.•    Hands-on experience with Azure and Microsoft 365 security.•    In depth experience of security frameworks, certifications and guidance such as ISO 27001/2, NCSC Cyber Essentials Scheme, NCSC cloud security principles, CIS framework.•    Knowledge of Zero Trust principles, Security by Design and defence in-depth and security product features and capabilities.•    Strong demonstration of Security Architecture experience within the public sector.•    Expert knowledge of key security concepts and technologies. Including knowledge of security within MS Azure and 365, SASE platforms, cloud SIEM tooling, and secure backup solutions.•    Experience in security architecture and engineering for large-scale digital transformation projects.•    Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, standards, and policies related to information security and data protection.•    Effectively translate and accurately communicate security and risk implications to technical and non-technical stakeholders.•    Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.•    Previous experience in leading the development of architecture plans and technology road maps with multiple phases.

Desirable Qualifications, Certificates•    CESG Certified Professional (CCP) IA Architect•    CISSP / CCSP / ISSAP•    SC-100: MS Cybersecurity Architect•    SCF/SCP/SCM•    TOGAF•    ITAC Level 1/2/3•    ISO 27001 relevant certs.
