Your work-life opportunity: Glovo's team is looking for a Senior Accountant in Romania's Finance Department who will play a key role in the Finance team - providing data in order for the department to make sound decisions. We are in a startup where the time to market is a crucial factor, so we want a problem-solver person with hands-on attitude. Be a part of a team where you will:- Participation in establishing new accounting processes and streamlining existing processes.
- Reconciliation of GL account balances and bank statements;
- Work with primary accounting documents.
- Fixed assets ledger maintenance.
- Maintain and develop relationships with internal and external parties of the Company.
- Support invoicing procedures
- Support importing processes (importing or checking the imported documents in BusinessOne ERP system: banks statements; revenues; AR invoices; AP invoices);
- Support payments process.
- Checking the accuracy and completeness of the accounting records.
- Conducting month-end and year-end close process.
- Audit financial transactions and document accounting control procedures.
- General accounting tasks (GL account maintenance, journal entries, closing activities).
- Good vibe and you feel motivated to work with a cool team which is always working together (You are a team player).
- Bachelor's Degree from related departments (Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, etc...).
- 5 years of applicable work experience in accounting.
- Advanced MS Excel Skills (pivot tables, sumifs, vlookup, Charts etc) & Google Workspace.
- Experience of working in the E-commerce sector or in Accounting Consultancy Services is an advantage.
- A strong command over English with an ability to understand and communicate clearly and effectively.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end closing process.
- Experience using SAP Business One or other general ledger packages is a plus.
- A good capacity for adaptation.
- Good organization & planning skills.
