We are preparing to launch our services in Albania soon! To achieve this, we need to build a team of enthusiastic individuals who can be likened to superheroes. This team will play a crucial role in establishing Glovo as the preferred brand for ordering in Albania. Currently, we are actively seeking a Sr. Accountant role to join our team.. To reach this goal we need a 360, analytical and results driven person to take ownership of our Finance function in Albania. The time to market is a crucial factor, so we need a problem-solver person with a 100% hands-on attitude.

Be a part of a team where you will:

• Be part of the Finance Team in Albania, and help in taking decisions that will shape the future of our business in the country and in the region.
• Participate in establishing new finance processes and streamlining existing processes
• Maintain and develop relationship with internal and external parties of the Company (HQ, regional teams, accounting firm, payroll provider, banks, etc)
• Finance operations (invoicing, payments, partner queries) 
• Reconciliation of GL account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end closing procedures
• Preparing the monthly profit and loss statement and balance sheet report and report them to HQ Accounting team
• Treasury forecast
• Intercompany accounts reconciliation and reconciliation between local Trial Balance and Management Reporting
• Ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded. Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency
• Ensure compliance with IFRS (for group reporting) and local GAAP principles, where applicable
• Distil complex financial data into impactful commercial insights. 
• Take ownership of the FP&A and controlling functions (Business Plan, monthly closings, etc) 
• Team with all Albania's departments to drive the country's financial discipline and improve overall profitability, maximizing outputs.
• Work closely with Global Finance Teams (Billing, Treasury, Accounting etc) to solve any day-to-day issues and ensure a high satisfaction of Albania`s customers, partners and couriers in any topic related to Finance.

You have:

• Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting (ACCA/CPA Certification would be considered an advantage)
• 4+ years accounting experience in a similar position
• Experience of working in the Food Delivery Sector, in Accounting & Consulting Services or a Big 4 would be considered a plus
• Thorough knowledge of local accounting and tax standards (Local GAAP)
• Advanced MS Excel Skills (pivot tables, sumifs, vlookup, Charts etc) & Google Workspace
• Knowledge of the English language (advanced)
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• High levels of professionalism, initiative, energy, creativity and flexibility
• Hands-on and autonomous
• Ability to juggle - we are consistently working on multiple projects at any given time, so we are looking for someone who has the capability to successfully multitask
