About the Team

Our AML team plays a vital role in protecting SumUp, our merchants, and the financial ecosystem at large.

We conduct in-depth investigations, ensure compliance with global AML regulations, and work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain a secure and trustworthy environment.

 As part of this team, you’ll contribute to building safer processes and supporting informed decision-making across the organisation.

What You Will Do
  • Perform thorough PEP/Sanctions reviews and investigations, preparing well-structured reports for senior management decisions.

  • Review UBO-related queries, conduct profile assessments and provide expert guidance to internal teams.

  • Analyze and investigate transaction monitoring alerts for both incoming and outgoing transactions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners, sharing knowledge and supporting AML best practices.

  • Ensure high-quality, detail-oriented work while adapting effectively to a dynamic environment.

You’ll Be Great for This Role If
  • You have 1–2 years of AML/KYC experience plus 1+ year handling PEP/Sanctions escalations and report compilation.

  • You bring solid knowledge of AML regulations, financial products, and investigative techniques.

  • You’re skilled with analytical tools (Excel, Tableau) and quick to learn internal systems.

  • You communicate clearly in English and work well with diverse teams.

  • You’re proactive, organised, detail-oriented and uphold high ethical and professional standards.

Salary range: €27,000–€31,000 gross per year
