Position Overview

StepStone Private Wealth is seeking a Senior Analyst with excellent quantitative, qualitative, and interpersonal skills to support the due diligence efforts of financial platforms globally as they consider the suite of funds under management. The team oversees and manages data across four portfolio strategies and controls the information being shared externally.

The Senior Analyst’s primary role is to draft high-quality, consistent diligence responses, fund materials, and other analyses in response to requests from current and prospective platforms. The Senior Analyst will work closely with the existing members of the due diligence team as they learn the process and expectations with the opportunity to begin collaborating with and have exposure to all levels across the firm, including the research, business development, finance, legal, compliance, and HR teams. The candidate is expected to show a willingness to learn the underlying products and the comparable product landscape to support these efforts appropriately. The person should also have a basic understanding and interest in alternative investments, the private markets space (specifically, private equity, infrastructure, real estate, and private debt), strong interpersonal skills and project management skills. The candidate should be highly analytical and naturally curious to understand the underlying data. Strong written communication, organization, attention to detail and relationship building skills will be necessary to succeed in this role.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Responsible for completing DDQs/RFPs and client requests, including writing and editing content, working with cross-functional teams to obtain the necessary information, and ensuring that the final product is accurate and delivered on time.
  • Critically assess the accuracy and relevance of content provided by cross-functional team members in response to DDQs/RFPs.
  • Manage and maintain the private wealth central database of responses to ensure content is kept up to date.
  • Collaborate with team to teach the internal machine-learning technology to pre-populate the initial responses to inbound questionnaires which is a key initiative for 2025.
  • Strong commitment to high-quality writing, attention to detail and ability to constructively critique and proofread external communications. (writing sample may be requested)
  • Respond to ad hoc requests initiated by platforms seeking an additional level of analysis related to performance metrics or underlying investments with the assistance of other team members.
  • Strong ability to focus on the task at hand with an attention of the final deadline associated with the project or deliverable
  • Assist with various projects and analyses to support the broader business.
    • Demonstrated ability to produce compelling and compliant proposals working in a global team environment.
    • Experience with professional dialogue at all levels and ability to manage our relationship with the internal business development colleagues specifically in Europe as the team’s primary point of contact with this group.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree / higher education qualification in finance, business, or liberal arts.
  • Minimum of 3 to 4 years of related financial services (private equity, or investment management a plus).
  • Minimum 2-years’ experience answering and responding to RFP and platform diligence requests
  • Highly motivated self-starter, with a demonstrated history of taking initiative, being adaptive in a fast-changing environment, and working independently.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working in PowerBI and/or Tableau a plus.
  • Acute attention to accuracy and detail within a high-volume work environment.
  • Ability to prioritize activities while working on multiple projects and achieve target deadlines.
  • High level of confidentiality and understanding regulatory boundaries with sharing information.
