Position Overview

The Senior Analyst / Associate’s duties will include providing support to all areas and functions of the Marketing team.  

Essential Job Function: 

  • Work closely with the internal stakeholders and business development professionals to provide strategic marketing support and analytics that aligns with business goals.
  • Lead our Event Tracker application, expand its use and capabilities and maximize its adoption across different business units.
  • Involved in marketing and business analytics leveraging a range of tools and platforms such as Preqin, in-house applications (SPI, SPAR, and OMNI), Salesforce, Seismic, Splash, Pitchbook, Pardot, and Google Analytics.
  • Analyze trends and provide insights to help optimize marketing strategies
  • Continuously identify areas for improvement and enhance existing analytics by optimizing platform capabilities.
  • Lead event-related duties including compiling invitee/attendee lists, digital marketing such as building emails and registration sites, pre and post-event marketing analytics, and compiling event presentations. Be the liaison on marketing support at select events.
  • Assist in the coordination before and on the day of events to ensure smooth and professional attendee experience.
  • Develop and maintain data visualization dashboards for tracking performance and ROI. Generate reports related to marketing campaigns, events and business development activities.
  • Provide branding support such as formatting PowerPoint presentations and materials to ensure alignment with the firm’s visual branding, design guidelines, and tone and reviewing materials to achieve branding consistency across all asset classes and departments under tight deadlines.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong technical skills and a background working with data analytics to help the team with analyses leveraging the various marketing platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as the candidate will have a variety of responsibilities and will work in close coordination with Senior Management and numerous other groups within StepStone.
  • Strong attention to detail and discretion are also required as the candidate will work on materials that could be public facing or confidential and must be accurate and error-free.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, managing numerous concurrent projects with stringent deadlines.
  • Self-starter with desire to improve current processes.
  • Strong creative thinking, problem-solving skills, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, finance (or other related degree preferred)
  • Experience in financial services, wealth management, asset management or other related businesses required
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce CRM essential, and knowledge of Swoogo, Seismic, Splash, Pitchbook, Pardot, and Google Analytics preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; data-driven mentality
  • Highly motivated individual with demonstrated initiative, independence, and adaptability
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Enthusiastic team player, willing to go above and beyond
