Wayfair is looking for a Senior Analyst to support our Marketing Technology team, with a focus on SEO. Our Marketing Technology team is responsible for building Wayfair's world class, ML powered technology platform that optimizes and powers all of Wayfair's paid and organic advertising to drive billions of dollars in annual revenue. We build innovative ML products and services that enhance our customer experience, improve customer loyalty, and ultimately grow our business. We have a modern tech stack including sophisticated capabilities around AI, data science, causal inference and personalization. 

What You'll Do

  • Run open-ended exploratory data analysis (e.g. clustering, segmentation) to identify actionable new insights, validate hypotheses, and inform prioritization for our SEO product roadmap
  • Leverage experimentation to measure tradeoffs and short/long term impact of marketing initiatives. Deep dive into results and synthesize learnings to inform marketing and product decisions 
  • Drive operational excellence through monitoring, alerting and automation to ensure a rapid response to changes in customer/market dynamics and to quickly identify issues with platform health
  • Develop data visualization dashboards for stakeholders to self service data insights and monitor key customer and business KPIs
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers, ML Scientists, Product Managers, and Marketing stakeholders. 
  • Communicate key insights and recommendations to influence cross-functional partners across the organization.

We Are A Good Match Because You Have

  • Bachelor's degree in quantitative field such as economics, math, engineering, or statistics
  • 2+ years of experience working in a quantitative field
  • Strong proficiency in a structured programming language (e.g. Python, advanced SQL)
  • Strong quantitative experience, with the ability to generate insights and solutions or build a story and strategy from large data sets
  • Excellent critical thinking and interpersonal skills - ability to break down and communicate complex ideas and influence senior level and cross-functional stakeholders (to include exceptional verbal and written communication skills)
  • An ownership mindset with the ability to thrive in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment with a dynamic bias for action and a “get stuff done” attitude
  • A desire to win as a team - collaborative team player who wants to see themselves and others succeed and thrive
  • Experience with experimental design (A/B tests), synthetic control measurement and statistical analysis to drive business decision making, highly preferred. 
  • Experience with SEO highly preferred
  • Experience with other digital marketing (basic understanding of marketing channels and measurement KPIs) a plus
