We focus on driving meaningful impact on the overall trajectory of guest and host growth through close partnership on, and supporting the business with, financial analysis, impact assessment, performance measurement and insights and reporting of large-scale initiatives.

We are looking for an Analyst to join the Marketing Strategic Finance and Analytics team. The role will focus on reporting, data analysis, and business performance insights. In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner with business and finance leads to ensure we have accurate and timely data to inform our strategies. The successful candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for Airbnb and our community. A typical day:
- Build weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports that are presented to cross-functional executives
- Analyze data and share insights on trends by drilling down into various dimensions
- Provide actionable data-driven recommendations to stakeholders’ business questions.
- This role will work very closely with our US teams. The work starts late in the evening as regular meetings with the US teams are required.
- Investigate data quality issues reported by business analysts and finds solutions/fixes
- Collaborate with data engineering and data science to investigate such data issues
- Automate routine reporting to dashboards with advanced filtering and deep dive capabilities
- Establish standards for metadata/taxonomy, metrics, query, reports and scorecards
- Push for continuous improvement when it comes to best in class data visualization
Your expertise:
- Education in Economics, Business, Engineering, or other quantitative focus
- Expertise in building reports and dashboards leveraging data visualization tools using Tableau
- Excellent SQL skills and expertise in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical capabilities & logic driven mindset
- Understanding of data gathering, inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modeling / diagramming techniques
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work
- Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements to meet stakeholder needs
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with a high degree of ambiguity
- Communication skills with the ability to distill complex subjects to a wider audience
