Senior Analyst, Supply Chain Workforce Planning
Must be ONSITE in Boston, MA (Monday - Thursday)
The Network Management organization drives the speed, ship cost, inventory positioning, and capacity goals for Wayfair’s North America network, encompassing CastleGate Fulfillment, Wayfair Delivery Network, and Dropship. This organization was conceived to solve the challenging, cross-functional problems that are plentiful in a complex and flexible supply chain, and coordinate across groups to ensure that strategies, metrics, and goals are aligned. The Workforce Tools and Analytics team within Network Management is responsible for creating the tools and analytics that drive workforce planning at Wayfair.
We are looking for analytical, action-oriented, and collaborative individuals that can translate business problems to actionable insights and data driven solutions to influence operational results. Successful individuals in this role excel at both qualitative and quantitative analysis while also being eager to communicate upward and outward to tell a concise story.
What You'll Do
- Develop a thorough understanding of Wayfair's data structures to determine the optimal sources of information for problem-solving.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis on large data sets to generate performance insights and identify areas for improvement.
- Acquire a thorough understanding of the current tools and provide ongoing support for daily maintenance and improvements as needed.
- Develop key metrics, tools and reporting to enable the end-to-end workforce planning process.
- Develop a deep understanding of the current workforce planning process and its limitations and continuously improve the planning process in order to support an agile and flexible supply chain.
- Leverage critical thinking and data handling to examine and challenge existing practices, identify opportunities for improvement, and gain buy-in from stakeholders on proposals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Operations and Tech to support the rollout of new operational initiatives from a workforce planning standpoint.
- Build and maintain dashboards to translate large data sets into driving insights and action.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in a quantitative field.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, JavaScript, SQL or GBQ, and data visualization tools such as Google Data Studio (Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI).
- Experience in Supply Chain and/or E-Commerce is a plus.
- Experience in Workforce Planning is a plus.
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
- Relentless focus on the customer and a collaborative mindset that thrives as part of a team.
- Data and process-oriented, demonstrated ability to continuously learn new tools.
- High attention to detail and thorough attention to data integrity to deliver trusted insights.
- Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to navigate an environment of continuous improvement working through ambiguity in an evolving organization.
An Important Note about Wayfair's In-Office Policy:
All Boston-based interns, co-ops, and corporate employees will be in office in a hybrid capacity. Employees will work in the office on designated days, Monday - Thursday, and work remotely Friday.
