Role OverviewThe Senior Accounts Receivable Accountant will play a key role in overseeing and optimizing the accounts receivable function. This position is responsible not only for executing AR processes, but also for ensuring accuracy, driving improvements, mentoring junior team members, and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to maintain strong cash flow and clean AR balances.
The ideal candidate brings deep AR expertise, strong analytical skills, and the confidence to operate independently in a fast-paced, international environment.
Key Responsibilities-
Own and manage end-to-end accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.

Oversee daily AR transactions, including invoice posting, credit/debit memos, cash application, and adjustments.

Lead month-end and year-end closing activities related to AR.

Reconcile AR sub-ledger to the general ledger and investigate variances.

Monitor AR aging, identify overdue balances, and proactively drive resolution.

Coordinate collections activities and support escalation of complex or high-risk accounts.

Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and Finance to resolve billing disputes and discrepancies.

Review and approve AR entries prepared by junior team members; provide guidance and mentoring.

Identify process inefficiencies and lead initiatives to improve automation, controls, and cash collection.

Prepare AR-related reports and insights for management, including aging, DSO, and collection status.

Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

5+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Receivable or accounting roles (senior-level experience preferred).

Strong knowledge of GAAP, FASB, and accounting operations.

Proven hands-on expertise in AR processes, reconciliations, and month-end close.

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis).

Experience with accounting systems; Intacct experience is a strong plus.

Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex AR topics.
