Senior Associate, B2B Partnership Growth
This position is located in Boston, MA. Required to be in office Mon-Thurs.
Wayfair Professional’s North American Business to Business Sales (“B2B”) team is seeking a collaborative, analytical-oriented senior associate to help drive Wayfair Professional’s B2B agenda. The role will be a part of the B2B Partnership Governance & Ops team that will help craft and execute B2B strategy across North America. We serve customers via a ‘gated’ site experience that is tailored based on a given customer’s vertical (e.g., Commercial Office, Interior Design, Contractor).
We seek a motivated senior associate who will partner with leaders across B2B to set the strategy for, launch, manage, and optimize ongoing external partnerships. The role will report to the head of Partnership Governance and Growth (L3) and collaborate with Marketing, CM, Sales, Fintech & Loyalty to identify, prioritize, pursue, and grow partnerships as a growth lever for B2B. This includes establishing a governance model for partnerships to ensure we are prioritizing effectively, monitoring performance, and managing partner relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Partnership Governance and Integration
- Develop repeatable playbook for prioritizing, launching, scaling, and managing B2B Partnerships in partnership with Marketing, Sales, CM
- Lead partnership governance, ensuring partnerships are well tracked and managed, outcomes are well-measured and monitored, opportunities are prioritized in line with STO objectives, etc.
- Partnership Development and Growth
- Prioritize opportunities for Strategic, Customer, and B2B2C Partnerships in collaboration with Sales, Category Management, Marketing, FinTech & Loyalty
- Support Partnership team to drive associated sourcing, business development, strategic planning, etc.
- Onboard Strategic and Customer Partners via tech integration, process development
- Manage and grow ongoing Strategic and Customer Partnerships via performance tracking, relationship management
- Support new partner integration including: identifying tech needs, providing contracting support
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in project / program management, strategy & operations, consulting, marketing, or similar roles
- Communication: Ability to understand and empathize with diverse stakeholders and partners across functions, and tailor messaging / communication appropriately
- Strategic thinking / problem solving: Ability to break down complex, ambiguous problems into logical objectives, translating needs into discrete, actionable steps for partner teams to execute
- Team and cross-functional collaboration: Passion for working collaboratively within Partnership team and across functions to drive operational improvements and projects
- Partner orientation: Ability to predict partner needs, proactively support them, and leverage a scalable approach to provide ongoing support
- Program/Process management: Ability to manage processes efficiently by scoping logical steps from ideation to project completion, organizing data / materials for broad understanding, synthesizing stakeholder feedback, ensuring project interim steps are on time, and delivering results on time with high quality
- Data Interpretation: Ability to synthesize insights from data analysis, understanding trends that affect performance in the short-term and identifying long-term opportunities for improvement
