You will join our cross-functional team dedicated to ensuring effective communication with HelloFresh customers. As a Senior Data Engineer, will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and operating high-scale data processing pipelines that support our communications platform and message types such as email, SMS, and push notifications. • Work collaboratively in a cross-functional team of 6-10 members, utilizing diverse technologies and frameworks
• Take ownership of the end-to-end process, including architecture, design, development, deployment, and operations of data pipelines, applying DevOps practices, pair programming, and other cutting-edge methodologies 
• Actively contribute as a solution-oriented member within autonomous, cross-functional agile teams, collaborating with product owners, backend engineers, mobile engineers, and business intelligence teams 
• Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of HelloFresh's core product and architecture, serving as an ambassador for software solutions and providing support and mentorship to colleagues
• Work with state-of-the-art technologies like AWS EMR, Kafka, PySpark, Kubernetes, Airflow, and more

• Solid software engineering experience with the ability to design, implement, and deliver maintainable, high-quality code in Python/PySpark
• Hands-on experience with cloud computing and data processing technologies, including Spark, Amazon EMR, Kubernetes, and Kafka

• Proficiency in data modeling, relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), and object stores (e.g., AWS S3)
• Expertise in end-to-end development processes, including unit, integration & functional testing, application tuning/profiling, and continuous integration
• Demonstrable experience with agile methodologies, with a strong focus on delivery, lean thinking, and quick iterations

• Experience with event-driven architecture is nice to have
• Bonus points for practical experience integrating marketing providers such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze and HubSpot
