About the role: What's in the Box

The service provider will contribute to the Consumer Mega Alliance within the Shopping Foundations Squad, specifically focusing on the Cart Foundation. The primary objective of this collaboration is to provide high-level engineering services that maximize the retention of active customers by optimizing how they manage subscriptions and order products. This role involves delivering scalable backend solutions for a platform that serves millions of global users, ensuring a seamless experience across the HelloFresh digital ecosystem.

What you’ll do: The Recipe
  • Deliver high-quality architecture, design, and development services for microservices, ensuring robust deployment and operational stability using DevOps practices.

  • Provide expertise within autonomous, cross-functional agile teams, collaborating closely with Product Owners, Front-end Engineers, and Designers to meet project milestones.

  • Apply an in-depth understanding of core product architecture to act as a technical authority, offering support and knowledge sharing to other contributors.

  • Execute technical tasks using a state-of-the-art stack, including Golang, Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes.

  • Perform problem-solving services across a wide range of platforms and environments to ensure system reliability and performance.

What you’ll bring: The Ingredients
  • Solid experience in backend development, covering Monolithic, Microservice, and distributed event-driven architectural patterns.

  • Proficiency in languages such as Golang, Kotlin, and/or PHP.

  • Proven track record of delivering services using Docker and container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes.

  • Extensive experience in implementing true Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

  • Practical application of TDD, BDD, DDD, and distributed architectural patterns.

  • Background in developing event-driven architectures utilizing RabbitMQ and/or Kafka.

  • Experience working with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch.

  • Familiarity with e-commerce, subscription-based business models, and GraphQL integration is considered a significant advantage.
