Our Opportunity:

Chewy is hiring a Senior Benefits Manager based in Plantation, Florida that is responsible for the strategy, design, policy, and execution of various Wellbeing, Discount, Voluntary, and Supplemental benefits across the organization. In this role, you will report to the Head of Benefits, and partner across the benefits team as well as with Legal, Finance, Compliance, Communications, HR, and business leaders. You will be responsible for vendor management, contract review, plan design, coordination of systems enablement, communication, and competitive benchmarking. You will ensure policies and programs and all associated third-party vendors provide a Customer First team member experience and are compliant with all federal, state, and municipal regulations. The ideal candidate will be fluent in benefit plan design and administration, project management, vendor management, and have a strong business acumen.

 

This is a highly visible, strategic role responsible for ensuring Benefit programs enable Chewy to attract and retain top talent. If you are organized, self-motivated, and passionate about benefits – this role is for you.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage current supplemental and voluntary benefits programs, including but not limited to, Life and AD&D, EAP, Family Care Services, Discounts, and Voluntary Benefits
  • Design and manage company-wide Wellness Program with a focus on physical, mental, and financial team member wellbeing
  • Collaborate with partners in HR and facilities to run special programs and events
  • Recommend enhancements to current programs and propose new programs based on team member sentiment and competitive trends found through benchmarking, comparative analysis, and cost modeling
  • Rollout new programs in collaboration with internal and external partners, including systems implementation, communication and education, and change management
  • Manage audit procedures to ensure systems and data integrations are functioning properly, identifying and correcting errors as required
  • Work collaboratively within the Benefits Team and other internal departments to execute annual Open Enrollment processes
  • Report on utilization and experience data, identify trends, and recommend action steps
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; obtain qualified insights; enforce adherence to policy requirements; advising management on needed actions

 

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field
  • 10+ years of HR experience, including 5+ years of Benefits experience
  • Experience as a benefits subject matter expert, developing new and enhanced benefits policy, creating communications materials, and leading presentations to the organization
  • Strong vendor management experience
  • Experienced with Workday audit processes for benefits Integration files (development and management experience)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent data analysis, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Detail oriented, proven strength in organizational, project management, and time management skills
  • Certification through SHRM or World at Work is a plus
  • Position may require travel
