Senior Billing Specialist

Lyft is hiring an organized, motivated, and highly detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist for its Accounting team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a keen eye for detail. This role requires excellent organization, ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams while maintaining accountability and working to tight deadlines. We are looking for someone to become a subject matter expert in Lyft Media advertising billing operations; ensuring customer invoices are sent quickly and accurately through a variety of methods and requirements. Work across teams on the execution of strategic initiatives to address critical business issues or opportunities. Partner with our Business Development team to research and respond to customer billing inquiries. This role will be the primary escalation point for all Lyft Media billing. Ownership of financial audits and other ad-hoc accounting projects related to the ads area of our business. Partner with Lyft Media engineering and Financial Systems teams to set up new billing processes for our expanding Media product catalog. Own monthly/quarterly close, reporting, and reconciliation processes.
Responsibilities:- Work across teams on the execution of strategic initiatives to address critical business issues or opportunities
- Partner with our Sales Operations team to research and respond to customer billing inquiries
- This role will be the primary escalation point for all Lyft Media billing
- Ownership of financial audits and other ad-hoc accounting projects related to the ads area of our business
- Partner with Lyft Media engineering and Financial Systems teams to set up new billing processes for our expanding Lyft Media product
- Collaborate with Cash App Specialist to reconcile accounts
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- 3+ years of AR/Billing experience in a similar high-growth environment
- Experience with
- Oracle GL Accounting system experience (or similar ERP)
- Experience managing high volumes of multiple billing types including usage-based and revenue deferrals
- Billing for international entities
- Very strong Microsoft Excel skills (lookup functions, pivot tables, etc.) and experience working with large amounts of data
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail a must
- Must be a self-starter and team player who is excited to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Familiarity with G-Suite
- Demonstrated ability of time management skills with strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Thursdays and a team-specific third day. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year. #Hybrid
The expected base pay range for this position in the Nashville area is $68,880 - $86,100. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
