Team Description

As a Senior Business Analyst in our Product team, you'll be directly in contact with the Reconciliation and Payouts+Receivables squads, responsible for critical financial operations that directly impact merchant satisfaction and regulatory compliance at SumUp. We are a collaborative team that thrives in a fast-paced environment, values operational excellence, and is dedicated to continuous improvement. This role requires strong analytical skills, operational excellence, and the ability to bridge technical and business needs while maintaining a merchant-first mindset.

What you’ll do

  • Monitor and report on key operational metrics for Reconciliation and Payouts+Receivables squads, establishing clear action plans for addressing deviations.
  • Provide analytical support, stakeholder management, and process oversight that enables the technical teams to focus on product development.
  • Support the payout platform migration to Brazil, ensuring minimal merchant impact.
  • Optimize third-party relationships to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation to enable better support for merchants.

You’ll be great for this role if

  • You have strong analytical skills and can identify patterns and root causes in data.
  • You are proficient with tools such as Excel and SQL.
  • You have experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • You have advanced English skills, both verbal and written.
  • You have strong problem-solving abilities and take a proactive approach.
  • You have a customer-centric mindset with a focus on merchant impact.
  • You are adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced environment.
  • Nice to have experience with payment industry, preferably in acquiring.
