The opportunity 

Urban Sports Club is looking for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager (all genders) for our Partner Management department in Germany to spearhead our national business development initiatives for our Key Partner Business. 

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Business Development Manager (all genders) who adopts a partner-centric approach while leading the development and execution of key partnership strategies that align with company goals.

You will be directly responsible for your achievements, ensuring monthly growth, maintaining partner relations, and acquiring new key accounts while delivering an outstanding partner experience. As a Senior Business Development Manager (all genders) you will play a pivotal role in propelling our local growth strategy and establishing a robust presence in our market. Not only because of your presence at various industry events, you will be the main contact person and the face of the brand for selected key partners. Overall, the role is a rewarding one, requiring a unique blend of strategic thinking, relationship-building skills, and industry knowledge.

Your responsibilities 
  • Strengthening our competitive partner network with a focus on key accounts and fostering relationships that enrich our presence in Germany. 
  • Shaping the organization's positioning within the industry based on a deep understanding of the competitive landscape.
  • Developing and implementing strategies for key account acquisition and development, ensuring alignment with the company's overall business objectives. 
  • Identifying potential key accounts, establishing contact, and building strong relationships with decision-makers to drive business growth.
  • Representing Urban Sports Club at various industry events and networking meetings.  
  • Leading negotiations and concluding contracts for long-term and sustainable partnerships and taking responsibility for the financial success of these relationships
  • Managing and nurturing existing key accounts to ensure client satisfaction, identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities, and maintaining a high level of partner retention.
  • Collaborating with other teams and departments to optimize partnership sales and to keep partner retention on excellent levels.
  • Monitoring and reporting on key account metrics, providing regular updates to top level management and developing improvement plans as necessary.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges, and adjust account management strategies accordingly.
What you need to succeed 
  • You have a proven track record in managing partnerships and acquiring key accounts in corporate or enterprise environments. 
  • You are a networker to the core and you already have an existing wide network as well as a good reputation.
  • You have excellent negotiating & relationship management skills in German and English. 
  • You come with experience in the sports and lifestyle industry and bring an understanding of partners behaviour, preferences, needs and their markets while you develop strategies to meet these needs effectively.
  • Your innovative and strategic thinking enables you to easily comprehend the competitive sports aggregators industry and develop a clear advantage for the company's partnership opportunities.
  • You leverage the benefits of our collaboration to foster stronger partnerships and emphasize the unique value of our cooperation.
  • You continuously seek out opportunities to improve sales negotiation skills and stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, sharing this knowledge with the team to enhance their performance and success.
  • You have a high willingness to travel and will regularly visit key partners throughout Germany to optimize the relationship-building efforts.
