Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, Product

It's with that in mind that Beyond is looking to add a Senior BI, Product Analyst. Reporting to our Director, Revenue Operations & BI, you will play a critical role in delivering actionable and meaningful insights that drive product strategy and decision-making. Your primary objective will be to provide a comprehensive analysis that enables our Growth, Product, Engineering, and Leadership teams to understand user behavior, measure product performance, and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
To excel in this position, you should have a strong analytical background and a proven track record in product analytics, user behavior and retention analysis, and data-driven product insights. We’re looking for someone who can operate independently, bring clarity to ambiguous problems, and lead high-impact analytical initiatives end-to-end while partnering effectively with Product Managers, Engineers, and business stakeholders.

As our Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, Product, you'll be responsible for:
- Data, Data, & more Data - Analyze user conversion, engagement, retention, feature adoption, and product usage patterns to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Build models, dashboards and reports that track key product metrics and KPIs.
- Technical Partnership - Partner closely with other Designers, Product Managers and Engineers on the day-to-day execution of analytics, A/B tests & feature launches. Translate product questions into analytical frameworks that influence the roadmap. Define the analytical plan for A/B tests; own the full lifecycle from design to execution and interpretation.
- Harvesting insights - Enable effective product decision-making by analyzing user journeys, conducting cohort analysis, and identifying behavioral patterns that inform product strategy and roadmap prioritization.
- Business Expertise - Leveraging a deep, data-driven understanding of how users interact with Beyond's products to draw insights and make recommendations that will help improve user experience, increase engagement, and drive business growth.
- Be a strategic partner - Conduct deep dive analysis with complex SQL queries, dbt models, and translate requirements into effective & innovative data visualizations and solutions in Mode. Push teams to think more rigorously about metrics, behavior, and product impact.

Now that we’ve told you what the job looks like, here are the qualifications we're looking for in a candidate:
- 6+ years of experience working in a Business Intelligence / Product Analytics environment.
- Strong data modeling & proficiency SQL skills with experience working with complex & large data sets, including event tracking and user behavior data.
- Experience analyzing product metrics, user engagement, feature adoption, and conducting cohort analysis to inform product decisions.
- Hands-on experience with data transformation tools, query engines and data visualization tools (dbt, dagster/airflow & Mode are what we use)
- Proven success partnering with Product and Engineering teams to influence strategy through data, and to find answers that translate into product recommendations and strategic insights, not just reporting.
- You have exceptional business intuition and conceptual thinking, with the ability to readily map product features and user flows to the appropriate metrics and analytical frameworks.
- Deep understanding of experimentation design and analysis. Running A/B test analysis is your bread and butter.
- Experience with Posthog, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Segment or similar tools for analyzing user engagement data.
- Experience with dbt / Python is a plus.
